I'm sorry I have not been around lately to awnser questions. Amp is still on his move and I have been in a very bad depression. My wife and I have seperated and it has consumed me. We have been together 15 years and spent the first 4th of July in 15 years alone. I'm back and gonna focus even harder. It's really hard not saying good night to my kids... Just remember to stay connected with your friends and create a support system.... We're all wishing for the best possible future for you. It's okay to be hurting, it's perfectly natural to be depressed in this situation. Just make sure that you are KIND to yourself. I've been in your situation and I would highly recommend seeing a professional counselor to help keep things in perspective. In time all things are healed - life is a precious gift.

Steve ... being in your exact situation a little more than 3 months ago, I empathize with you 100%

It does get better though Bro ... put 18 hours a day into your program right now .... it will keep your mind off the rest of it, and you'll be fukkin surprised how much you can get done in 2 weeks of brutal hours like that !!!

Turn off your ICQ, and only turn it on every 4 hours or so ... take a break and respond to messages ... then back to work ...

They say that the most creative people all have something in common -- they spent a lot of time alone at one point in their childhood. I'm no therapist but it seems like a lot of us creative and self-employed guys have broken out of the mold to enjoy the freedom of working at home on our own hours -- but it seems like along with that freedom there's a price to pay... it can be alienating working at home -- we have an entirely different way of life... I know Boneprone and I seem to be on ICQ at 6am way too often! I can kindof relate to Snow -- this last week I was really depressed too.

And it's hard for our chicks to deal with it too... I was just talking w/ my ex-girlfriend and some more of this crap is coming out now -- when you're working at home chicks just don't understand why XYZ doesn't get done while you're "home all day"... yadda yadda I've heard it all... not to mention some girls never get over the whole "porn" thing...

I may be leaving Florida here soon for a new job -- for a change of pace, to work with some new people, to make some more money, meet some new chicks, new places, etc... I'm excited!

Hey Snow, I know how much it sucks! Hang in there. One of the best ways to deal with it is to pore yourself into your work.
I went thru this earier this year. I went out of state for aweek and when I got back home she and my son where gone. Nothing but a note saying she had had it with me, after 20 years together.

We have since worked things out (and are working on things) and are back together. I gave alittle and she gave alittle. A little gave here and there can go along way to make each feel better about the other.

I don't think you stated the reason why this happened or maybe I just missed. But there's alway a solution if you want it to be.

The main reason for my brake up was the adult bussiness and that I was spending more time doing it then with the family.
Life is better now, I'm still in the bizz and she and my sun are a lot happier.
I even have an office now and she wants me to start buying traffic.

Anyway I hope everything work out OK for you.

I went through a hard breakup last year with my ex of 9 years. Real hard period in my life...

But things do get better over time, it is a time for real life learning experiences. My suggestions:

- see a counsellor to help you deal with the pain and loss you are feeling
- delve yourself into work to distract yourself from the compulsion to fixate on your seperation
- talk to your family (mom, dad, brother, sister) they know you real well and can be a great place for support
- take care of yourself physically (eat, exercise)
