Wow, I vaguely remember this guy from the 90s - but I forgot how much was directly ripped off by Sascha.
The Real Borat I'm not trying to take anything away from the movie, but do people realize "Borat" was far from original?

I remember that guy from years ago, and always thought he had inspired Borat, but I read on IMDB that the character was inspired by a guy Sasha Baron Cohen met... a barber or something.

I hope that Mahir Cagri gets a HUGE settlement from Cohen and the film's proceeds. The whole Borat thing is a total rip, and Mahir Cagri deserves to make money off of it. It is Cagri's concept and he deserves his piece.
I don't think anyone on this board likes it if THEIR concepts are stolen. :/
