CCBill vs Paycom

Hello all, I have my own merchant account and did an analysis of the fees etc, and realized that when it's all said and done I am paying roughly 13% in various fees for chargebacks, transaction fees, cc processing fees etc. So I spoke to both CCBill and Paycom and both sound like great alternatives.

From what I can tell, both of these billers will have more success at rebilling my customers as well as improving the current conversion rate due to multilingual join pages (50% of my sales come from overseas) etc.

This board was VERY helpful to me in making my decision for NATS vs MPA3 so I'd like to get any input, pros and cons you can provide on these two 3rd Party Billers to help me make my decision.

either one if you plan to use your own affiliate software as they are both great and reliable as the sun rising tomorrow morning.

I'd pick CCBill if you are not using your own software. but it looks like you are.....

yeah, dealing with all the customer service bullshit is no walk in the park. I'd gladly hand that over to a 3rd party biller.

Thanks for the reply!

It depends, usually cascading is the best option for anyone considering opening a paysite. While each processor has their strong points, it never hurts to utilize both. Adding multiple processors will only benefit you in the long run and adding Euro processors and other alternative payment methods (check, money order, etc) will only increase your sales and profits.

My name is Albert and I represent an affiliate program called Silvercash. I support GFY, however I am not a consistent contributor to the boards in general.

However, I do enjoy repsonding to individuals who take the time to properly research legitimate industry questions. Our team at Silvercash uses Epoch/Paycom as our primary processor. We cascade our secondary billing to CCBill and have plans for the future to do further payment solutions for credit cards.

Paycom is a very stable and credible company. In a recent thread, Silvercash was and remains to be one of the first three companies to ever work with paycom and remain today as they near their tenth anniversary. IMO, the most significant components of billing companies, are 'through put', risk analaysis, customer service and the company's relationship with their banks and the major credit card processors (Ex: Visa). Paycom does this masterfully.

Having said that, Paycom has done an extraordinary job with our team and we have built strong relationships with their organization. Silvercash is fairly local to their office, so it is advantageous to have personal meetings with them to resolve daily operating issues and brainstorm customize solutions to fit our needs. This I cannot stress enough as the market has become dramatically competitive.

We have also been with CCBill for an extended period of time with consistent success. They are a great group of people and operate with professionalism in mind. With the everchanging competitive market for thrid party billing companies, both companies have stood the test of time. Congratulations to both as many individuals on this board can likely name you half a dozen companies that closed their doors overnight.

My last recommendation is that once you select a third party billing company, being a loyal company will significantly increase your flexibility with them and avoid massive expenses and time when making the transition to insert a new billing solution. Keep in mind your international webmasters, because credit cards are not the only way people are paying for memberships

Feel free to contact me if you wish to speak more about my experiences with both companies.

Agreed. Diversity is the recipe for maximizing revenues. It's also wise not to keep all your eggs in one basket.

Doc, I noticed you don't have an ACH (on-line check) join option yet. I'd like to offer you our services. I represent WTS (ACHdebit.com), we process on-line checks for the majority of the largest programs on the Adult'Net, and have done so since 1997.

Drop me a line. I'd love to discuss this further with you.

Kind Regards,
Ben Zuckerman

I would avoid CCBill simply because they refuse to implement direct deposit.

mailed checks are subject to the reliability of the usps and they charge 25 bucks to do a wire transfer

Id go with someone else for that reason

Your conversions rates will, in fact, decrease due to excessive scrubbing. You will also notice higher refund ratios.

Implementing multi-language billing pages is trivial and will cost much less than switching to a paycom/ccbill. An adult merchant account from a nice big reliable bank has a discount rate of under 5.5%. It will cost about 1% to provide billing support.

Since you use NATS you have a huge amount of options.
You can setup the merchant account to geoip to quality countries, you can even give a percentage of that traffic to epoch AND ccbill, all within the NATS billing admin.

From here setup WTS for Checks, EuroBill & LocalBilling for International traffic, and CCBills Web900 for US phone. Overall my extra billing options make up 20-25% of my sales.

Your own merchant account will ALWAYS out convert epoch & ccbill.

With epoch & ccbill, this is what different about them. Epoch bounces all over, one day you have a super strong day, the next you have a 40% denial rate. CCBill, always steady, being so you never burst into really huge days, like you can with epoch. As well with CCBill you will have a lower CB rate and a higher percentage of transactions will rebill monthly with ccbill.

While they are different, overall one is no better than the other. Just another place to earn more money.
