Egadget 1985 Interesting read

One day in the future we'll all work at 200MHz tower desktops with 9600 baud modems, but until then we'll just have to keep dreaming. So while we're just making crap up, how's about the Flatpanel Computer mockup, by crackpot "unconventional" designer Jim Leftwich. One little doozy of a pipe dream the computer actually has a flat screen. Whatever, Jim, it'll happen one day, we so believe you.

Yeah, it seems flat LCD monitors were so far ahead into the future that it made you wonder if anyone could AFFORD to get one. I think I read an article in Computer Shopper back in the mid to late 80s of this TFT screen that was being developed. Thought it was wild shit and gonna be extremely expensive. Now, it's everywhere (3rd and 4th generation at that).

I only wish other products evolved as fast computers (and are as economically efficient). If cars evolved as fast as computers, we'd have cars going 20000 mph on less than 5 gallons of gas. Too bad it doesn't work that way.
