Yes, those cities are some of the highest per capita income cities of the world. :1orglaugh

FYI, Florida is part of the south, do they not teach geography there or were you just to stupid to retain that little bit of info.

I have never doubted your dedication!
I do think you should start looking at what's happening to your brothers and sisters in the military and what they are used for and how needlessly they are dying and suffering.

It was you, yes YOU, who started calling other countries shit. I never said you loved nascar, but that's besides the point, because it was you who started trashing other places and asked to be called ignorant.

No shit Florida is part of the south. But if you have ever ventured into florida you would find it's not what you think of when you say the south. FYI, I must be too stupid, i'm still reading posts from your ignorant ass. Ask any webmaster from Florida and they will tell you that no one considers florida the "south", even though it is geographically located in the south. Moron. :321GFY :321GFY

no it's people like you, that let other people, like the people in the White House, screw up your country, your ideals, ... parts of the world. Stop being "a good soldier" and go defend the constitution, because didn't you take an oath to defend the constitution, so NOT the President, not the White House, not the Republicans THE CONSTITUTION because I don't think the Founding Fathers would be very happy with what's happening now: stripping away fundamental rights in the "fight against terrorism"

Wrong stupid, Florida is part of 'The South'. See the states in red? That is considered 'The South'. Now shut the fuck up please.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi..._map-South.PNG
The states shown in dark red are usually included in the South, while all or portions of the striped states may or may not be considered part of the Southern United States.

The Southern United States or the South constitutes a distinctive region covering a large portion of the United States. Because of the region's unique cultural and historic heritage, including the doctrine of states' rights, the institution of slavery and the legacy of the American Civil War, the South has developed its own customs, literature, musical styles (such as country music, jazz, bluegrass, rock 'n' roll and blues), and cuisines.

Republican in the White House, Republican controlled Senate, Republican controlled House of Representative, and all for 6 years now. If the country is "going to shit", you need to point the finger to those who have the power.

He's partly right. Most people don't consider Florida "the South". The South is an expression to characterize a lifestyle and type of people, and Florida doesn't really meet the same credentials as Alabama would.

Florida is a mosh of everything. You have the country folk in the Northern part of the state, you have the rich Northerners who have Winter homes or retire in Florida, and then you have your strong latino communities down South.

that's what logic would dictate :winkwink:
the GOP stills acts like they're the small victimized oposition and too many people still seem to fall for it

but I guess logic and reality aren't something they "believe" in, just like evolution, like Maher

Yeah true. Florida is certainly geographically "south", but I think it's mostly old new yorkers these days, hehe :)

TheMaster 11-01-2006 02:58 PM

just wanted to add this, just because it's really good:

Quote:

Prop 87 out here in California is about lessening our dependence on oil by using alternative fuels, and Bill Clinton comes on at the end of the ad and says, "If Brazil can do it, America can, too." Excuse me, since when did America have to buck itself up by saying we could catch up to Brazil?! We invented the airplane and the lightbulb. They invented the bikini wax, and now they're ahead?!

In most of the industrialized world, nearly everyone has health care. And hardly anyone doubts evolution. And, yes, having to live amid so many superstitious dimwits is also something that affects quality of life. It's why America isn't going to be the country that gets the inevitable patents in stem cell cures, because Jesus thinks it's too close to cloning!

Oh, and did I mention we owe China a trillion dollars? We owe everybody money. America is a debtor nation to Mexico! We're not on a bridge to the 21st century. We're on a bus to Atlantic City with a roll of quarters.

WHITMAN: Take those ? bring those quarters to Atlantic City, yes.

MAHER: And this is why it bugs me that so many people talk like it's 1955 and we're still number one in everything. We're not. And I take no glee in saying this, because I love my country, and I wish we were. But when you're number 55 in this category and number 92 in that one, you look a little silly waving the big foam "Number One" finger.

As long as we believe being the greatest country in the world is a birthright, we'll keep coasting on the achievements of earlier generations and we'll keep losing the moral high ground. Because we may not be the biggest or the healthiest or the best educated. But we always did have one thing no other place did. We knew soccer was bulls***.

And...and we also had a little thing called the Bill of Rights. A great nation doesn't torture people or make them disappear without a trial. Bush keeps saying the terrorists hate us for our freedom. And he's working damn hard to see that pretty soon that won't be a problem.

ummm, wouldn't that have something to do with the fact that we have been there longer since that declaration than before it?

BTW, there are deaths and injuries in the military even when they are all stationed at home.

WOW, you can probably spin anything right?

1. NO, by your logic this is normal, that after peace has been declared, you have more deaths than during the war? Americans have been far longer in Koeweit after the war than during, still no more deaths after?

2. these are no deaths and injuries that occur during peace time

just face it: Iraq was one of those times arogance has been exposed, unfortunately so many Americans and Iraqis have paid for it and not the arogant assholes themselves, they only got (or will get) richer

Beer going at .60, probably because the conversion rate is horrible.

Yah, I miss when that same beer was a quarter when the dollar was stronger circa 2001-2.

It sounds like you've been hanging out in Miami Beach, too. Lot of old Jewish guys there. And good deli's.
