I can tell you what makes us rock. I can be any religion I want without being persecuted, I can wear what I want, say what I want, go where I want, and do what I want. I live in country where women have the same rights as men. That is a hell of a lot more then a lot of countries in the world. We are not perfect but at least we have freedom. Every country has poor people but at least here we are trying to solve that problem. Stop being a bitch and bashing the US. It is getting old. Sweden by the way has a lot of problems with child porn. They seem to not really care about it.

how is any of that different than any western/developed country? you really have no clue. how is the USA better than Canada? i have yet to hear Canadians complaining about their horrible oppression that many apparently feel they suffer from. the USA barely makes top 50 lists for standards of living.

the honest truth is that you guys haven't been anywhere else. you shouldn't even be talking about other countries at all. there is nothing dumber to me than the typical american talking about life in other countries.

So you know for a fact I have not been outside of the US? How nice of you to know what I do and where I go. The same thing could be said about people living outside of the US and bitching about the US. I live in Arizona which has a lot of Canadians that live here in the winter. Believe me they bitch a lot about about Canada. There is nothing dumber to me then a dickhead with to much free time on his hands. Get a job, or better yet a life. :)

You can go where you want and when you want, do what you want(except bashing your leader) and have just as many rights as men. Just like in most other countries in the world.

If you are not a citizen of the US why are you so concerned with what goes on here? I saw the three examples you listed, but have no idea why you care about them. If you are not in the US they do not affect you at all.

I will be the first to say there are many things that make the United States exceptional with exceptions of course. Business ownership and making millions or more is not limited to this country alone though. Have you caught wind of where the largest growing number of billionaires are popping up and not only a younger age but at a more rapid financial rate? Well that would be China. By the way I am not comparing China with the US.

I just want some people to take a look around. Venture out into this country some. Check beyond the glitter and glam and check out the other parts of the US that many would rather pretend does not exist. Hopefully then maybe they can encourage or demand some change before they go around boasting how great we are. This house may be solid right now but let me tell you the plumbing is rotting away and the foundation is beginning to show cracks.
