AFF Zango spywhare and Lars

First off at least Lars is willing to look for answers so props for that.

Why cant this industy get pro active and start a fund that pays programers to write removale softwhare for Zango type aplications. You could then bid on your keywords with zango and pop up page with removal instructions this would stop your competiors stealing your keywords and keep your Affilates happy.
We could start a campain with tgp's that require a link for removal ex file on every gallery submitted.

Can anyone explian to me why we couldent make this posiable.

That would freak out a huge percentage of surfers (potential sales). It would be much more effective for everyone to have people like Lars and zango etc.... arrested and fined with some major jail time. Get rid of these scum bags who are ruining the industry for every other honest webmaster. Lars and all these scum suckers are just greedy leaches with no morals and only self centewred goals.

The chances of getting an effective law passed are pretty slim though, not to mention it would take forever. How many "good guys" in this industry do you think would get targeted before anyone doing any real damage would get charged? The profile of the people who work in this industry would be much higher if it were policed from within by ideas like Bake's rather than run to congress to try and write something new. The only real way to stop it, and the most effective way, is to take the money out of it. It's kind of like spam, people woulnd't be mailing if people wern't buying.

Well Guys like Lars still need affilates when the likes of zango removes profit margin for affilates they disapear with no affilates to make traffic for zango to steal there no sales. Its very short sighted to support these companies.

It is really in the interest of the adult conmunity to get behind stoping this. It may not affect you today to much but It will catch up.

Bake, props to Lars for what? Saying that they used them before and current (up to the point that this discussion has come up)? Saying that it would be too expensive to get after Zango to protect their domains, affiliates, and copyright on their names?

I belive what is needed is easy to use removal tools for theses types of spywhare and then education of the sufer.

Dear oh dear. No wonder Lars thinks he can grub around in the dirt with impunity.

After ignoring all the threads on the topic for a week, he finally produced a post which, stripped of spin, admitted that his company had been diverting webmasters' traffic and intended to go on doing so. If he brought attention to the issue, that certainly wasn't his intention and a couple of days ago he posted what amounted to another big "fuck you all" to everyone in the business.

Lars is not bringing attention to this. Ok maybe in an indirect way he is by supoorting it and making his stupid post he is pissing more and more people off which is causing more and more people to post about it. SO i guess in a way he is bringing attention to it, but i am sure it is not intention so he deserves no credit.

Lars has ignored all the posts about it until ZANGO outted them. Then he has his attorney write a letter for him and he posted that. Since then all he has done is instulted people and tried to make exuses.

AFF 100+million dollar company is too cheap to sue another company who is infringing on their trademark. So instead they buy traffic from the scumware instead of putting an end to it.

What is needed is:

Education for webmasters to NEVER use zangocash. Number of installs is our number 1 problem.

The second thing we need to do is see which sponsors support this type of traffic (shaddy business practices) and which ones oppose it. Seperate the good from the bad, and let the bad go fuck themselves.

Third thing is to do what we are doing now, finding ways to detect the people with the shit on their pcs and redirect them, educate them , etc.. An unistall program would be a nice idea. Videos like that one on youtube was pretty cool, we could use some stuff like that.

We need to continue to put persure on the idiot companies here that use zango and other scumware companies and rally behind companies like Iwantu who is contacting zango and pressuring them into removing their trademarks from zangos site.

The power of the quick buck is as strong as good pussy. webmasters selling theses products are just like cheaters used to be years ago. They only think about tomorrow not the day after.

I belive removal tools are probably the best way to reduce this problem in the short term.

Bake, don't you think it would work better if companies like AFF/Cams stopped buying ads from zango, and stopped accepting traffic from affiliates that buy traffic from those places? It's nice to get 2 surfer to check thier stuff... but it is about 1 million times better to remove the monetary incentive for Zango to keep fucking with adult websites... no?

Don't you think there is something Lars could do better than "look for answers"? Positive and solid steps to stop his own company from doing buisness with asterixware companies would be a good start no?

BTW on the trademark issue, it is extremely rare for the courts to decide in favor of trademark holders who have a record of doing nothing to protect their trademarks. So if indeed Lars declared it wasn't an issue worth pursuing, that is something likely to come back and bite him or his employers in future.

Instead of complaining about what Lars is doing why not report this to the trademark office about this company doing illegal things or instead of bitching about it why don't a couple of you guys get your money together, buy a ad on zango with a aff code. So when the orignial aff ads comes up your ads popup and steal aff traffic from them, that way the surfer will click on your ads.

Lars wants so hard to be the best cam site with cams.com. He had his targets set on having more models and more payouts then ifriends and others. He was a standup guy, I liked him better then anyone here. But to through out your integrity and steal from people to try to make it to the top totally deflates the sense of accomplishment once you get there. I dont see how buying AFF keywords on zango is going to fix the problem. I would just be stealing from other AFF affiliates, I would be no better then AFF.

We would be stealing from AFF affiliates 9 out of 10 times and not just AFF's type in/ paid advertising.

As far as doing this anyway, Sexsearch is usually out bidding all of AFF's search terms and stealing Sex Search's traffic.

OK... Funny that you mentioned AFF/Lars when you promote Sex Search.com on your websites and they are also in bed with Zango... And if they and LARS got out of bed with them at the same time, you could kill two birds with one stone.

So talk to YOUR sponsor about not using Zango as a way to grab some of AFF's market share... Because that is basically why AFF decided to use Zango TOO.
