And I hadn't dropped you because I talked to Jim and he sounded like he knew what he was doing, he looked over, talked to the techs and my sales picked up. Just like I suspected.

Tranza (01:15 PM) : A simple: "sure, I'll make sure someone checks your account over", would be nice. I guess you don't want me as an affiliate any longer.

This whole conversation shows just how unprofessional this guys are. Their affiliate area is down at least 4 times a month, and everytime I complainned about it they only say: "Sorry, it's not our fault". Not to mention it sucks big time, feel free to check it for yourself.

I've been around a while and I've noticed that sponsors that talk shit to affiliates when a issue comes up have usually faded away to nothing.

Mainly I think they die out because the issue was real and they never fix it and other webmasters quit their program but never complain.

The reason we've been around so long isn't because we're "talking shit" to affiliates, but because when an affiliate asks us a question we give them and HONEST answer and don't sweet talk them and blow smoke up their ass.

Last time this happened, Jimmy-3-Way pretty much tld me the same bullshit, and I was pissed and told him I was going to drop them. The same day their affiliate support contacted me saying he was sorry to read the conversation I had with Jimmy and told me that the techs were going to check to see if there was anything wrong. Surprize surprize: they found some errors and I started seeing sales that exact same day.

nope, it doesn't. ill be the first to admit my traffic doesn't convert that good on amateur allure from hosted galleries. i've been in the business long enough to know when you aren't doing good with one sponsor, that you need to move on and try a different sponsor that converts with your traffic. all traffic is different. i've sent se traffic to amateur allure and it converted awesome.

i think jimmy3way was an asshole the way he handled it, but you should be glad he was honest with you. ive had several sponsors say "oh let me take a look at your account and help you out" in the past, well chances are theres no helping you and they just don't want to lose your traffic. you need to go find a sponsor that converts for you and move on instead of bitching about it several times on gfy.

I think it's kind of silly to blame a sponsor for everything here. If your traffic doesn't convert with them, pull the links and put up a new one. I'm not sure why people always assume that contacting a rep or sponsor is somehow going to magically fix bad conversion ratios. If a sponsor knew how to magically turn your 0:4500 into 1:500 with the snap of a finger, they wouldn't be in need of affiliates.

You also have to take into consideration that 0:4500 is a fairly small sample size if you consistently converted at 1:800. A nice little run with that sponsor and you're back to where you should be.

I guess I don't put the onus on the sponsor. There are simply too many out there to sit around and worry about one. If they don't convert with your traffic any longer, move on.

I get what you're saying. But the point in this case is that their affiliates area is down at least once every 2 weeks, and I had this problem with my account before. And after the techs took a look at it they found some database problem and my sales started flowing THE SAME DAY!

As you can see, I approached him asking if he could tell the techs to take a look at it again, nothing else. I still wanted to promote them. This is not going to happen anymore.

I?ve always had good relations with AA as a model, as well as, a DTC sales rep and Jimmy has always ALWAYS been courteous to me no matter what info I needed.
