Time for another NATS special?

Could it be?

Who wants (or needs) one?

Any ideas for something different?

Maybe a deal on a suite of our products (NATS, CARMA, and SPARTA)?

I'm not sure if we will go with NATS yet... but I think a special might influence my decision.

I'd reeeeally like to use NATS but the up front cost is just too much for me right now. A good deal would definitely sway me!

I'm considering switching to nats, but 1000$ for training is just too much

The way i see it, big upfront free, and then not-small every month fee

if it was only one of them i'll go for it

icq 43344647 if you have offer for me

I don't see how some people think we are oh so expensive (some people think we're way too cheap). Don't get me wrong. I don't mind doing discounts and specials from time to time as everyone should know However, this is your business. This is the software that will run your business. You don't want to spend $1000 on some little script that some kid writes in his basement. We have an office to maintain, support and development staff salaries to pay, etc. $150 to $650 for software as in depth and complex as NATS is is not a bad deal.

Add up your processing fees for a month on a decent sized program. I'm not knocking processors or their fees in any way but $150 to $650 is a drop in the bucket.

As far as install & training. Installation can sometimes take hours depending on the situation on a clients server. They all have different setups and there are very often isssues and lots of Q&A in the install processs.

Unlike our competitors we train you on our software. This process takes 6-10 hours and also includes free ongoing support. (We haven't charged for ANY support instances for months and are most likely going to include free support on leases all together very shortly). Even when we did occasionally charge for a support instance it was very rare and in the most extreme circumstances.

So, you get a very complex software product installed, full training, and full support from a staff of very talented people for $1500 up front and $150 to $650 per month ($350 and $650 only once your program has grown to easily support the amount). I don't really think thats too bad of a deal. If you can't afford to spend $150 to $650 to run your business how are you ever going to pay your affiliates?

This post is NOT specific to you. Please don't feel I'm offended by your post or "yelling" at you or "attacking" you as people always seem to love to assume. Just venting a bit over the numerous calls and icqs we get saying how our software is ridiculously priced and should cost $100-500 or some other insane amount.

Also, as said, I have no problem running specials and I'm sure we'll have a very nice one coming up soon.

Thanks John. I'd just like to add that I am in no way saying that NATS is overpriced. I think it's a great value from what I've seen. Just tough to justify the cost when you're a small operation. And hey, who doesn't love to get a deal when they can?

How about also a special for users who already have nats. Maybe a high discount for adding carma and/or Sparta. ;)

Can I vote no?

It's kinda sad all of the upcoming programs that think $1000 is too much to invest in their business.

I don't know if you can answer this or if there really is an answer but I'll give it a shot anyway...

When designing/structuring a site that plans on using Nats, what should that person consider, be aware of, avoid that will simplify the installation/integration/compatibility with Nats?
other than using Carma and Sparta...lol

Use CARMA and SPARTA of course! j/k

Our products use the smarty template engine. It can have a bit of a learning curve but once you do learn it you can really do a lot. It would be best to either learn this system or find someone to for/with you who knows it. Other than that all you need is some HTML skills, a bit of apache knowledge (which your host or us can help with) and some time. Reading the knowledge base at http://kb.toomuchmedia.com and the visual knowledge base at http://roxy.toomuchmedia.com/product..._frameset.html will aslo help.

Another point....

You are not only selling software, you are selling a brand with a strong reputation. Many webmaster trust an affiliate won't be able to shave if they are using NATS, hence more affiliates to a program based on brand.

I was set up with NATS not too long ago. I will admit there is a small learning curve but it is SOOOOOO FUCKING WORTH IT!!!!!

Pay the money, learn how to work it, learn about smarties and have at it. It really is a powerful tool.

If you can't invest $1000 into what may be one of the most important additions to your business, you may want to rethink what you are doing. You will make the $1000 back in cascaded sales alone.

I can not believe people saying NATS is too cheap. it should at least triple in price, if you cant pay the price to play, you cant play, simple. nats has made the bar to enter this biz entirely too low.

Well, we have been looking at NATS too. But $1000 is a lot of money. Our present affiliatesystem works fine, but NATS have more options. We are trying to figure out if the extra options will make it worth switching to NATS og not.

We are not sure if NATS will increase our income enough to justify $1000 startup fee and then the monthly fee.

But NATS is great - no doubt about that. So a really good offer might just make us switch to NATS.
