For those of you who know much about it......Would you say that there are ways to make real money in it.....i.e. like buying real estate (but I hear they keep on making more if it). Perhaps buying currency. Or anything else.

There's gotta be ways to capitalize/exploit something so new, that has so much potential. Lets hear some entrepreneurial ideas.

I have tried both and this one is easier to make money on and cheaper to play if your just looking for fun. SL only has better graffix.

My sister is on SL every day and swears by it. I think she is even paid a salary by someone who owns a virtual bar there. It reminds me of the book Snow Crash.

Yeah...I just read in the news paper today that Reuters is launching a news agency in SL, to report on happenings that are going on in SL. It a wild thing right now. I believe there a lot of large corps getting in on it.

I read an article the other day where someone is actually building real life trinkets modeled after items they sell in second life, and selling them. Kinda weird, how this "game" can be like another storefront.

How exactly does paying a salary to a virtual waitress make you money?

Anyone else find it completely dumb to pay for land on Second Life? What's the advantage?
