a trojan is A Trojan is a small computer program, usually installed on a computer without the owners knowledge, that allows another person elsewhere on the internet to make use of your computer. Trojan programs vary in what they do, with some designed to be used in Denial of Service attacks, some designed to ac an as email relay for people who want to send spam emails, and some that can act as key loggers - programs that record all the keys pressed on your computer, allowing the person who controls the Trojan to record your password.
The installer would have done none of the above
