Hawaii, disaster for the week assed rich
impersonations:
Oh my god my $30,000 Ming Dynasty vase got a crack in it from the quake. I better call Gov. Lingle and cancel my campaign donation if she doesn't declare the entire state a disaster area. Two entire small rocks are blocking my road and I have to drive 10 miles below the speed limit to go somewhere. Fuck this! I want justice. The homeless in food lines are a bunch of lazy whining scum and a disgrace!...whoa! my house is shaking and the power is out for 4 hours already...I better go get in one of those free food lines...because obviously I'm sufferring. FUck! I've waited all day and there are no flights out from the airport. We've got real problems...not like those stupid people on the mainland who refuse to fly in the snow. <end> What a crock of shit! There was more damage a few month ago when it rained for 42 days in a row and all the sewage in Waikiki was pumped into the canal and a guy fell in it and died. http://starbulletin.com/2006/04/05/news/story02.html But hey, only the "low-rise" dwellers were at risk. Sewage doesn't flow up hill to the big houses. Yeah, I know the situations sucks...but declaring a fucking disaster????

Oh come on, I was stuck in New Orleans for three days after Katrina with no electricity or water, on the 22nd floor of a hotel with no elevator, employees or security and extremely scarce food and water after the first day. It took longer for them to declare that a disaster.

Just sink it and cut the losses. 49 is a root number, so it's cool, it's cool.

Sounds like you're the ony one on the board that doesn't know I live in Waikiki.
![]() Just telling it like it is. There is no "Disaster" in Hawaii. Nobody died and only an old abandon coffee shack actually fell down. A mud slide in LA is worse then this.
