How many hard drives can you safely put in a desktop?
These hard drives heats up like hell. How many can we put in a desktop without it becoming roasted?

All depends on the size of your case. A Full-ATX should be able to hold eight with no problem. Mid-tower four, Micro no more than two.

Why would you need more than 4?
2xRaid or even 4 standalone should be plenty - if not, get bigger drives

I ran some diagnostics on it while it was closed and there was actually a speed decrease I would say if you have a case with 4-8 fans blowing out, you should be ok, but I only have 3 fans I used to have a case with 13 fans, but it was ugly, I should have kept it |

depends on how cold you keep your place - with good AC - and a good quality case / fans - there is not much limit..

There really is no limit if you keep your case cool, like some mentioned before.
I have 6 right now in a custom made box with a lot of fans and in an A/C'd room. |
