Tgp Galleries - Wmv Or Mpg?
Hey all
We are looking at TGP gallery options for affilates. Both hosted gals & submitted affilate gals. I've seen a few major programs moving there hosted galleries to high 1500kps WMV's and was wondering what TGP owners thought of these? Would you TGP owners accept 3 x 20 sec 1500 kps WMV's at 640x400? Or are you still only taking standard mpegs? (usually 600-900kps mpeg1's) It would cost us more to offer the big WMV's in bandwidth but the benifit would be for both the tgp offering nicer bigger movies to visitors and to the program owner in higher conversions. I personally avoid mpegs like the plague... always prefer a good wmv

Hey, we asked the same question....They prefered MPEG's, because cheaters can use WMV to add DRM, popups etc...So in other words, most MGP's TGP's will decline WMV movies...

I only use mpg, would love to use wmv though I can get better quality for the same size out of it..

Perhaps you could try flv format(flash video)-quality is good,everyvone has flash on their browser,and it load fast.Wmv suck if you ask me,i avoid it as hell.

MGP is more accepted than WMV. Stay away from AVI
