Computer reboots when i plug something into USB port.. any ideas?

Sometimes when i plug some usb device into the port my PC just reboots... Figured it might be static electricity or something, but I have no idea. Anyone know what might cause this, or how to fix it?

You have an IRQ conflict with your video card or your Audio Card.

I had that problem with a BFG card so I got rid of it and grabbed an ATI.
