Onions destroy red blood cells and can cause anemia, weakness, and breathing difficulty. Even small amounts can cause cumulative damage over time.

My lab dog Jasper just died because of old age..he is picky.. He doesn't eat hotdogs, veggies.. he loves meet and big bones...

except for the dane we have, still living, he almost eat anything.. we are really careful about him, we never leave him at the front yard cuz crazy people might throw something that could hurt his stomach. even if you throw poison on him, I bet he'll eat it..LOL... he's such a big nasty dog..

My sister-in-law's German Shepherd loves carrots.
My APBT won't eat anything unless it had a heartbeat. I left a hamburger out one day, she pulled it apart and only ate the beef.

I had a dog, he didn't like to eat veggies instead, meat. One time when I couldn't afford to buy him such, I just bought him fish. He liked it very much that's why my cat always hide her share, she didn't want to give any part of it. Unfortunately my dog died because someone poisoned him when we're asleep, I was so sad and cursed the person who did that to him. From then on, we never thought of having a dog again.

My chocolate lab loves veggies, fruits and almonds and would eat candy if we let her have it..she is a beast when it comes to eating.. I have a 125 lb dog in house that she wont let near the food till she is totally done..he sits silently by like a good submissive male.

My dog will eat some fruit, but I had a cat who LOVED vegetables. She'd eat english peas, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, corn, and most anything out of the garden.

Luckily our Lab hasn't had much human food at all. Once in a while he gets lucky and a relative drops food or something but it isn't much. I prefer to just let him have dog food.

I never knew that until I was preparing to get my pug and read it in 'pugs for dummies'. I knew about chocolate and onions but not grapes. I am glad I found out before the puppies came home.
