My little baby rottie, loves carrots :)

Tanker 10-12-2006 07:30 PM

me and hippy (my younger of the two) eat a bag of baby carrots in one setting all the time

sickkittens 10-12-2006 07:31 PM

FYI, alot of veggies are bad for dogs.

sickkittens 10-12-2006 07:32 PM

Onions destroy red blood cells and can cause anemia, weakness, and breathing difficulty. Even small amounts can cause cumulative damage over time.

Correct, never give a dog onions ..... or chocolate

BitAudioVideo 10-12-2006 07:38 PM

was cooking chicken and potatos one night, knew i had put 2 potatos on the counter, turned around and one was gone... thought it was my mistake till i went to the fridge to grab another and when i looked back my lab was taking the other one off the counter... raw. he ate the first one and was back for seconds.

ImLost 10-12-2006 07:41 PM

LilBro 10-12-2006 07:46 PM

sniperwolf 10-12-2006 08:35 PM

My lab dog Jasper just died because of old age..he is picky.. He doesn't eat hotdogs, veggies.. he loves meet and big bones...

except for the dane we have, still living, he almost eat anything.. we are really careful about him, we never leave him at the front yard cuz crazy people might throw something that could hurt his stomach. even if you throw poison on him, I bet he'll eat it..LOL... he's such a big nasty dog..

Aquarius 10-12-2006 08:37 PM

A friend was telling me her dog loves peach.

My sister-in-law's German Shepherd loves carrots.
My APBT won't eat anything unless it had a heartbeat. I left a hamburger out one day, she pulled it apart and only ate the beef.

rodney25 10-12-2006 09:09 PM

My dog wiggles his tail most when he smells red meat. :)

BitAudioVideo 10-12-2006 09:14 PM

i feed my dog fortune cookies and he never eats the fortune; his fortune tonight was 'dog make stinky farts'

he actually just turned 13 at midnight

I had a dog, he didn't like to eat veggies instead, meat. One time when I couldn't afford to buy him such, I just bought him fish. He liked it very much that's why my cat always hide her share, she didn't want to give any part of it. Unfortunately my dog died because someone poisoned him when we're asleep, I was so sad and cursed the person who did that to him. From then on, we never thought of having a dog again.

reynold 10-12-2006 09:30 PM

I sometimes feed him with vegies and he kinda likes them. :)

MsWild 10-13-2006 06:21 AM

I don't have dogs that's why I haven't experience how to feed them.

bl4h 10-13-2006 06:28 AM

my dog its his own shit, carpets, various household items, vomit, cigarette butts, etc. im not impressed

C_U_Next_Tuesday 10-13-2006 06:28 AM

My chocolate lab loves veggies, fruits and almonds and would eat candy if we let her have it..she is a beast when it comes to eating.. I have a 125 lb dog in house that she wont let near the food till she is totally done..he sits silently by like a good submissive male.

i think i remember reading, that onions can kill the ability to smell for a dog...
better don't give the dog onions...

carol.prime 10-13-2006 09:05 AM

My canine bud also eats almost everything: from meats to veggies. Damn doggie even ate the bonsai and fortune plants!!! ::disgust

Holly 10-13-2006 09:09 AM

My dog will eat some fruit, but I had a cat who LOVED vegetables. She'd eat english peas, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, corn, and most anything out of the garden.

Seriously. Have you never heard that grapes can kill a dog almost instantly? :helpme :helpme :helpme

Sosa 10-13-2006 02:15 PM

Luckily our Lab hasn't had much human food at all. Once in a while he gets lucky and a relative drops food or something but it isn't much. I prefer to just let him have dog food.

squishypimp 10-13-2006 03:08 PM

lol did you force it to him?

Every dog I have had loved carrots. The two puppies I have now think they are treats.

I never knew that until I was preparing to get my pug and read it in 'pugs for dummies'. I knew about chocolate and onions but not grapes. I am glad I found out before the puppies came home.
