Need Photog advice.. - GoFuckYourself.com

I was asked to take some sexy pictures of a friend of a friend for her to give to her boyfriend as a gift... They asked me since they know I am non-judgemental and trustworthy.. Anyway.. The woman is in her early 50's so obviously its not gonna be a HOT easy shoot per say... Any advice on how to make it the best for her would be GREAT (besides hiring a real photog to take the pics!).. I think she will be fairly relaxed with me taking the pictures since our mutual friend will also be there and they are planning on a bottle of wine prior to shooting. They are also going shopping to get some sexy lingerie for the pictures and we will set the room with candles and such...

Any good poses that might help? She likes her stomach but is not fond of her legs I found out already...

Any good tips for photoshopping after to make them look nice?

You'll want to work that DOF

Also make sure you a good handle on lighting - you'll want to try to prevent shadows that will amplify wrinkles etc

Agreed, ask her the insecurities she has - let her hide them, its about making her sexy not showing off what she doesnt like - it will make the experience great.. lower lighting, strategically of course, a natural theme to start, colorful clothing, depends on her face, style

Honestly, go look at sites with models and galleries.

Start here and click on some of the gallery sections, www.onemodelplace.com

Have fun. As long as she is relaxed it should be fun and turn out ok. Find out what she is comfortable with and go from there. Her confidence will make the pictures. Also don't let her drink too much, it will show in the shots.

Yea I am going to let her set the tone of the shoot to start and work on it from there... Since I know she is not fond of her legs (need to find out what about them she does not like) thats the goal to hide and let her flaunt what she does like.. Whats a good way to set lower lighting and not make it too shadowy (less wringles) ?

I look at pictures and galleries all day.. Now I am looking for some special things in them to help this shoot..

I agree, my MAIN goal with the night is to have her relaxed and having fun with it since I know from experience when the model is having a good time it shows in the pictures and when she is not then they are AWEFUL.. The wine will be simply to help take the edge off.

I agree. It's best to set your aperture as close to 2.8 as your lens will allow, use ISO:1600, and fill the room with as much light as you've got.

Tony's right. On an older person that wants to hide any small wrinkles use more light. It will fill in the shadows a little more. And you can always do soft glow tricks in photoshop. The PS stuff will be easy to do. It's kinda cheesy but play a lot with like mosquito net type material.. like a lace thing. That can also help hide her legs while showing of her belly.

I find with less light you amplify the wrinkles use lots and you can wash them out. Sometimes a slightly washed out complextion isn't a bad thing if their their skin is fubar.

If she doen't like her legs then tell her to put some thigh high stocking or boots on that will make it best.

With older women it works really well with poses that stretch out and enlongate the body, think about that while you're shooting and you'll see what I mean
