hmm... so he took this 4500 and sent them to 9 different accounts for which he has 9 different ATM cards with different names? and those 9 account had a special 500 daily limit each?
sounds complicated but MAY BE... although i would like epassporte to come to me with some kind of explication like this... and not just "your money will not be returned, thank you for your business" |
well thats the only logical explaination in my mind. if I was gonna do it thats how I would go about it
|
fuck that sucks, i hope you get your money back
|
stay tuned please guys... i have news...
you not gonna believe this shit.... |

here is what we got from EPASSPORTE..(see i typed it fine)..
we talked with Annelies - one of the supervisors there. Basically - the burden of solving this is on us. We have to get an international supena to get the information for the fraudulant account holder. They admitted it was fraud but they will not take burnden of solving this for us - we have todo that - so we have to hire an international lawyer to get an international supena to get the information for the records of the person that committed fraud to us. Then the process can take 6 months to investigate. Then the person that did fraud probably used fake information so it will go nowhere. She admitted that we loose, they make $ on fees and the person that committed fraud makes $$. The $ was immediately transfered to buy something she will not tell me what that was - that is what we need the lawyer todo - to get access to that information - probably went to either buy something or to some online service or gaming place. they have all of the information - they will not tell us - its almost that we have to sue them to get that information. |

so they have ALL the information but they will not share with us, they MAKE money out of this so why wouldnt they protect hackers right?
i mean thats what they say, so they problably didnt block these guy account and thats how he did to get the money... or does anyone here know WHY would they protect a thief??? |
Nice to know they respect limits. What's the point of having one if they just let someone take whatever they want.
dzinerbear |
How many other people as this happened too????
|
Hope you get it solved
|
epassporte drama? What's new???
|
epassporte ruined my life
|
this story is very frightening , i suspect to get around the withdrawl limit they used the money to purchase something they could quickly launder the money, such as a western union money order or something of the ilk.. maybe a gaming site that they then cash out onto another account.
If epassporte isnt going to give you your money back they should at least be cooperative in helping you track down the fraud.. The very first thing you should do is contact your local police.. they will do much of the leg work for you. as you pointed out in may be fruitless , but it also might not be fruitless.. |
This sucks big time ... might be a reason for me to stop epassporte payments :(

well i dont even know from where was this person.. we got nothiing, they have all the information needed but they wouldnt provide it, they are protecting this person.
So what do you guys think? i should contract some international lawyer and spend like 5k on it.... to recover my 2k? lol |
This sucks mate , so we all know epass support is looking at this thread ,come in and give us some answear , some people here have thousands of $ in epass .
This is just BS , get your asses in here and explain NOW :321GFY |
thanks for the support.
well i guess they have nothing to say about it? they cant deny anything so they could only make it worst... they are hoping to have this thread die soon as it usually happens... |
if your in the US, checks people no bullshit that way.Real business has used them forever. If you think your avoiding taxes all that is asking for delayed pain.
|
im not in the US, not sure what you mean, i dont use epass to avoid taxes.
|
could it be an inside job?
|
Sounds like an inside job, or epassporte trying to be like paypal in a more shady way...
I'd call the police and have this investigated. |

too bad. scumbags are using epass for these kinds of bullshite. i hope they could atleast protect their card holders or even their own company on fraudalent actions. been scammed by a gfy scammer using epass a few months ago. then after i sent money to this guy and then waited for the stuff then after a few days i reported it to michael olsen atleast theyve closed the account although if im the only one who reported this user they will not shut it down. kinda sad. didn;t even get the money. but after that i usually accept payments bank wires and xoom which is kinda hassle for clients.

May I ask what your password was?
My password is not in a dictionary. It has numbers and letters. It has 10 characters... Did you use that same password ANYWHERE ELSE? Why is this important? I do security consulting and it is friggin very easy to steal the database from a lot of sponsors. But you do not even need a recent DB. You could have stolen one 2 years ago back when 90% of sponsor programs were extremely hackable. So you now have a list of every affiliate and their password to say 40 programs. How hard is it to use those same accounts to try and login to epassporte and your bank account and anything else you own with the same login and password? So I truely believe Epassporte is not at fault here. But you might know otherwise. Did you use your password anywhere else? If not was it easy to guess like hooters1 or something a dictionary attack with a basic ruleset (add a digit to the end, make it h4ck3r sp34k, etc...)? |

no, impossible to know, it was a mixed word english/spanish and i didnt use it anywhere else.. and dont forget that the same day another webmaster was hacked for 2500 dollars.... so this person guessed or stole 2 passwords the same day? weird dont you think.. |

This password isn't used for your MYSQL login or SSH login or anywhere else? You own 4 programs? Not the same password as your CCBILL, Epoch, etc login? |

Thy, I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you can get your money back. This really sucks!!

nop, i own 4 programs yes and i dont use this pass anywhere else... email etc... some way or another my passwords are all different and even if you knew one would be hard to tell the others.. being in this business for over 6 years now and never had a problem like this..
about the other webmaster, i dont know him at all.. i made a thread last week when i had this problem and this webmaster contacted me on icq saying his account was hacked too for 2500.... so we talked and realized that it was the same hacker actually.. i know he was saying the true because epassporte confirmed to me that someone else was hacked thou they didnt want to tell me who was him.. and MYSQL, SSH etc all those logins are setup by my programmers not by me, different passwords.. |

ANYWAS...
i have a simple question for EPASSPORTE... just answer this please.. HOW DID THIS PERSON TO WITHDRAW 4500 DOLLARS IN 1 HOUR! thanks. |
yes and another thing im sure is that these guys might be after the big accounts or program owners... think many big companies do lots of payouts and probably wouldnt even notice if they miss 2k...
i had clients pay me from 5k to 10k by mistake instead of 1k etc...... they got the money back of course. |

The only other way would be to send a specially crafted POST that would circumvent the check. But that would require a lot of knowledge and skill on the hackers part and a complete disregard for basic filtering of the users input. |
