Just to prove my point...
The same day this solo girl's site went up, I bought a domain and set up a very simple Word Press blog. The only SEO I did was set post links to be www.domain.com/post-name and I made sure to plug the girl's name in every single post name. A sitemap was also added, which pings Google every time it's updated. I started off in the second page of results. I forgot about it until this morning when I checked again and I was the 8th result. I just checked again and my site is the second and third result when you look up that specific girl's name. So there you have it. SEO is a bunch of bullshit. |

A little follow up, just to show how fucking random this SEO thing is.
Checked the site again this morning and it was still holding #2 and #3 spots in the results for that girl's name using Google. I just checked again a minute ago and I'm at #11. No changes were made to the page during this time. |
