What are you reading now?

I have a stack of books that I'm working my way through, but I always like to hear what other people are reading.

Right now, I'm about 1/3 of the way into "Junky" by William S. Burroughs. What about you?

This post.

Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon for the 3rd time. Every once in awhile I get a hankering for something a little dense (other than me, so don't say it!).

I don't exactly see where Burroughs is going with it yet, but it doesn't seem like your average drug addict gets clean and goes into recovery and everything is all light and wonderful sort of story.

I'm reading The Tipping Point. It's a book about that magic moment when an idea, trend or social behavior crosses a threshhold, tips, and spreads like wildfire. Kick ass book.

Read it a couple of years ago and found it very inspiring. One of those books that you start reading and new marketing ideas seem to pop into your head even as you're reading it. I'll probably read it again very soon.

I'm reading "Shadow Divers" by Robert Kurson.

It's about some of the world's best deep wreck divers who find a German world war 11 U-Boat off the shore of New Jersey, about 230 feet down.

Really well written, its a page turner. Definately would suggest it. It was a gift and it took me a while to actually start reading it because I didnt think the subject matter was really my thing, but now I cant put it down

I have a friend who keeps saying the same thing. But he didn't refuse to read books, now he reads only scientific books.
As for me, i like to read interesting, not true, affecting my mind books. May be i feel like i am living dull life and books can help me to live some other kind of life....

Junky is a great book. Right now I am reading The Bean Trees by Jean Kingslover. It's from my daughter's Honors English class. She likes for me to read the books that she is forced to read in high school. I believe they have moved on to Brave New World now, but I'm still reading the last damn book. Oh well, what does she expect? She's in tenth grade English, and I only made it to ninth.

But yeah, I've read rave reviews about this book, and ready to read it.

Last book before this was Robert Jordan's newest book of "The Wheel Of Time".

Delta of Venus might be my favorite, although I admit I like Little Birds a lot as well (except for the titular story, it creeps me out).
