I agree Baddog, but I think I was a bit different. I was and still am a gallery builder. I was building galleries before I was wit Hostive. I didn't change it to hide, I just changed since Hostive went bankrupt.

Anyways who cares of you changed you nick or make a mistake, people can change good or bad on a dime, you have to look at more then just one mistake to judge someone.

I've been burned at least ten times, and these companies are still around. GFYgame or whatever went out of business and just like anyone who uses someone that goes out of business you can lose your investment.

I'm sure it will make right but I wouldn't think the full $2500 is needed. maybe some new advertising or something.

Also if you only worked for Hostive then why is it your money and not the companies?

Jon, I would think that if you truely were sincere you would have brought this to everyones attention when you first came back on the scene, not after working deals and getting business started again....IMO you purposely had this planned from the beginning, not after deals were in the air...people had the choice at first, but now that you have deals in the works, you give them little choice because they already have money in the table

Hostive declared bankruptcy, I was still building galleries and still am and I wanted to keep the post count. I wasn't running from anything, so I didn't think that registering a new nick was neccessary.

I was the owner. Verio pulled the plug before we ever had any notice.

You know, normally I'd friggin ROAST someone for this sort of thing.

But I like Jon. I like his ideas and his sites. I don't think he would come back and announce something like this if he was planning on running a "dodgy" operation.

Bear with me hear, because I'm not familiar with the particulars in being a host, purchasing bandwith and declaring bankruptcy...

Verio pulled the plug on your bandwith with absolutely no notice whatsoever? You were a day late on your payment and they just cut you off? And you only had one bandwith provider?

Seems to me that a problem like having to declare bankruptcy doesn't just crop up over night. I don't think it's like one day, you're in the black, next day you're deep in the red and bankrupt.

And, even without a bandwith provider, you still have the servers and all the data, right? Again, I'm not familiar with the process, but I'd think it wouldn't have been to hard to get that data moved elsewhere so that you could email your clients and let them know what was going on.

Hell, I'm pretty sure Verio didn't cut off your connection at home, right? I don't seem to remember seeing so much as a post explaining what was going on.

I have to be honest when you first started posting here (boyalley) I thought *you* might be Jon. Given that he was GFY's "Resident Homo" or something like that. He left and you started posting shortly after but it was pretty clear to me after reading a few of your posts you weren't Jon.

In any case the whole thing was a big mess. I felt really bad for the people that were out money, and time. I'm glad he's at least trying to fix things up.

I went and found the original Judge picture I chopped for the gfy challenge. I still never got to see the design Kelly did. I heard he did cartoons of all the Judges. I would love to see it if it's still around.

And I had a guy hit me up last week with some idea that I could " design for promotion " then pretty much told me to GFY when I told him I wasn't interested.... but look at the last few years.

The GFY challenge design was toonless;) and there was a bunch of promo etc that was ordered.

Jon's made some arrangements for $$ , I never thought I was gonna see anything anyway the way things went.
