Jon had a tough time, Which right now is something I can understand completely.

He had been contracting me for designs this last month and always over paid me, I found out earlier this week why.

Whatever the situation is, once a scammer, always a scammer. I just can't buy into the tough situation bullshit. You're a man, an adult, and you being in an abusive relationship should have nothing to do with money you owed or obligations you made. It's business, and no one gives a shit about your personal life. I'm sorry if that's harsh, but that's how business works.

If you were truly a "stand-up guy", you'd have divulged this months ago. You'd have contacted the people you owed money to the second you could. My guess is that you are only coming clean because you knew it would come out eventually and you probably have something coming out soon that you need community support from.

My personal situation had alot to do with what happened...Thats why it matters...I have not had the cash until recently to pay debts and handle things...I had been struggling most of this year...Bouncing jobs to jobs...

It seems your "coming out" to the board has more to do with your financial interests than guilt. I apologize if I'm wrong, but I don't see why you didn't come back 2 months ago saying who you were and you were looking to make amends when you had money.
