What's scarier is that even the Vatican acknowledges evolution. I don't belive in God, but I have more respect for Christians that say "We'll God exists and he uses evolution to make his creations"

That viewpoint is probably more popular than a lot of people think. It's not unreasonable that one can believe in both creationism and evolution and that they are part in parcel with one another.

Maybe it was just simpler to write "And on the 1st day God created the universe" rather than write an extra 900 page chapter on the actual 400 billion years he took to evolve it.

And really, if you're talking about a an ever-present omniscient being with no beginning and no end, maybe "a day" to him is like billions of years. :D

This is why I laugh at people who presume to step up with all the answers of what is and what isn't, when every damn one of our opinions is just that, opinion and speculation.
