running vista on my laptop! screenshot

very happy with it! everything works :D and it runs real fast. not one error so far the only problem is small, vlc media player doesnt support windows aero, so when you load it it doesnt get a nice glass frame which blurs the background. but im sure things like that are just little niggles that will be fixed in the release or SP.

you can see my version in the bottom right corner.

it runs cs2, dw8, vegas, flashfxp, firefox, trillian, putty, and a few other things needed to run my biz - all flawlessly.

check it out :D theres been another release since rc1 (supposedly final before it hits the shelves)

previous releases were awful from what ive read/heard, but i see no probs with this

I'm waiting for it to release so I can buy a new laptop with it, blue tooth, and a blue ray disk burner. I'm about 2 months out I guess.

true, its a lot more bloated than xp, but, after the hellishly long install time it runs faster than xp for me at encoding video. the OS is supposedly better written to take advantage of dual core/multithreaded OS etc...

plus it looks and feels a lot nicer, like being in a mercedes not a ford and im "in" my work all day so want something more swish hehe

Im going to try 5728. I had 5600 or something, and it would load up and do the knight rider thing after it was all installed, then went to a black screen. Not sure if it doesnt support my card, or dvi connection or what. Was kind of weird. Well will be dl'ed in 40 mins or so. Thanks for the link to 5728
