true, its a lot more bloated than xp, but, after the hellishly long install time it runs faster than xp for me at encoding video. the OS is supposedly better written to take advantage of dual core/multithreaded OS etc...
plus it looks and feels a lot nicer, like being in a mercedes not a ford
and im "in" my work all day so want something more swish hehe
