:stop How many of you can't live without your TIVO?

I love my TIVO! It is the best technological advance since Napster in terms of how it has changed our lives IMO.

I have three of them now all networked to a central server where I store all the movies and documentaries I save, as well as music which I can now access from any media system I have in the house. It's the BEST! it truly has changed the way I/we watch TV. Everything is "on demand" as far as I see it now. I almost never watch shit when it comes on, this way I can FF through the commercials.

Love the keyword and actor generated season pass wish lists, you catch so many shows you would have missed.

Moxi system here.

Yeah I could live without it, I would miss it though and a lot of shows.

honestly, I have tried the normal tivo and it really kind of sucks a little compared to the Directv unit with Tivo built in...nothing like having everything in one box, and the dual tuners don't hurt either, being able to record two shows at the same time rules

Record from two basic cable channels, or one basic cable and one digital cable channel, at once. Does not support recording from two digital cable or satellite channels at once.
eek, that kind of sucks

Had Tivo since the late 90's. I HATE visiting my mom who doesn't have it. Been just using the cablebox DVR for the last few years though. Works just as well.... but gonna have to go out and get one of the HD versions soon.

i don't know what i would do without my tivo.. my only downfall is that i end up keeping too much junk saved on it and start to panic when things begin to get deleted on their own!

i'm a tivo pack rat. ;)

I have the Moxi system and it's the best thing since sliced bread. To be able to pause live broadcasts is better than it sounds.

I've never had tivo, or.. anything.
I almost never watch television and when I do, I watch what's on and that's that.
