How many of you can't live without your TIVO?

I love my TIVO! It is the best technological advance since Napster in terms of how it has changed our lives IMO.

I have three of them now all networked to a central server where I store all the movies and documentaries I save, as well as music which I can now access from any media system I have in the house. It's the BEST! it truly has changed the way I/we watch TV. Everything is "on demand" as far as I see it now. I almost never watch shit when it comes on, this way I can FF through the commercials.

Love the keyword and actor generated season pass wish lists, you catch so many shows you would have missed.

Moxi system here.

Yeah I could live without it, I would miss it though and a lot of shows.

I love my Tivo and I don't think my life will still be the same without it. :)

Jace 09-25-2006 10:46 PM

honestly, I have tried the normal tivo and it really kind of sucks a little compared to the Directv unit with Tivo built in...nothing like having everything in one box, and the dual tuners don't hurt either, being able to record two shows at the same time rules

Jace 09-25-2006 10:47 PM

oh shit, I see they now have a dual tuner tivo box

I still like having my satellite and tivo in the one single unit

Record from two basic cable channels, or one basic cable and one digital cable channel, at once. Does not support recording from two digital cable or satellite channels at once.
eek, that kind of sucks

UptimeGuide 09-25-2006 10:51 PM

I have never had a tivo. But I use to have a dvr on my satelite dish it was pretty good but I dont have it anymore so I guess I can live with it :D

anne 09-25-2006 11:40 PM

I love my tivo its the only reason i get to watch my programs :)

CynthiaB 09-25-2006 11:45 PM

Man, it's getting so bad, I'm thinking about getting a second one. What did I do before TIVO!

hoxton 09-25-2006 11:46 PM

we dont have tivo here in Australia, sucks...

Tat2Jr 09-25-2006 11:55 PM

Had Tivo since the late 90's. I HATE visiting my mom who doesn't have it. Been just using the cablebox DVR for the last few years though. Works just as well.... but gonna have to go out and get one of the HD versions soon.

DrunkEric 09-26-2006 12:32 AM

Had ReplayTV originally, then moved to the dual tuner from my cable company. I dont think I could live without it esp since I work from 4pm-12am sun to thurs. I miss all the good shows.

BitAudioVideo 09-26-2006 12:36 AM

love my directivo 2 tuner hd! and i sure as shit love the sunday ticket.

cess 09-26-2006 12:42 AM

tivos are great :)

TG Rebecca 09-26-2006 10:35 AM

i don't know what i would do without my tivo.. my only downfall is that i end up keeping too much junk saved on it and start to panic when things begin to get deleted on their own!

i'm a tivo pack rat. ;)

fallenmuffin 09-26-2006 10:39 AM

They have a new version where you record one channel and watch another.. but it cost alot lol..

OG LennyT 09-26-2006 10:40 AM

I couldnt live without my DVR

E$_manager 09-26-2006 10:49 AM

First time i hear about tivo. Sounds good.

Minte 09-26-2006 11:11 AM

I have the Moxi system and it's the best thing since sliced bread. To be able to pause live broadcasts is better than it sounds.

StuartD 09-26-2006 11:12 AM

I've never had tivo, or.. anything.
I almost never watch television and when I do, I watch what's on and that's that.
