GloBill

Just signed up with Globill as our secondary processor. We may sign up with CCBill as well if required.

Any reasons not to use Globill?

Thanks.

they are the coolest !!! I love the phone billing, it helped us pick up another 10% a month !!!! They do email a reciept each month so your chargebacks are much much lower, but you do not get as many rebillers that just forget about it like with ibill and ccbill. But it's a real bitch when ccbill/ibill let's a guy reverse 3 or 4 months of charges just cause they forgot to cancel

Hmmm I wonder if this is a problem. Generally users are aware of their rebilling, but when confronted with an email that gives them an easy cancel URL chances are they will cancel. Any time you put another step in the process you are taking a chance.

There is nothing about emailing anyone on their site, or what the content of those emails may be.

So maybe CCBill will be my 2nd...I had not wanted to use them as I have received emails from them on cancellation that upsell other sites.

Thanks for any info.

http://www.globill.com/dispute_policy.htm

anyone have any information on this policy? Aka someone charged back and paid for it?

For those that dont click on the link, basically, globill adds the card to a negative database, and sends a letter to the address with the name of the site joined and asking for the money plus 25 for a "dispute fee"

If they dont respond, they get sent"
Access logs detailing when you accessed the site in question and what ISP you used to do so.

Examples of any files and/or pictures and/or video captures of any information you downloaded from the site after gaining your username and password."

Sounds kinda cool!

They only do that if You want to charge users more than the standard amounts - like over 50$.

Globill is the best, as far as I'm concerned.

Our stats show that Globill has been up 99.992% during the last 30 days. That's pretty damn good.

Thanks for the plug Nite Chat.

As you guys all know it's not how many trans you can push through, it's how many you can keep and how well you can keep your credits and CB's down.
I'm going to reply on this thread because Epoch was mentioned.

The tech team at Epoch has been listening very carefully to the needs of the adult industry and responding to the requests of webmasters just like you.

I don't want to go too long about this here. If you're interested in checking out what Epoch's been up to go to http://www.epochsystems.com/sales/ or drop me a line at [email protected].

Globill, i have seen several paysites using them to reffer they accept Visa Debit Cards. I got my debit card today but i havent activated yet. I hope i'll be able to make various transactions with it untill i get a gold visa. The bank assured me I won't have problem with most of the transactions online, but I really doubt it.

Epoch accepts (processes transactions for) debit cards as well. Don't confuse debit cards with ATM cards. That's a whole different animal.

i use a visa delta debit card for online transactions and have no problems with it.

bought russian submitter for a month through ibill, and again after a month when it had expired once. it was ok with no problems.

Sure Soul_Rebel,

Debit cards access funds in a checking/savings account but are set up on the VISA/MC network. They look like a credit card with embossed numbers and CVV2's. They must have the MC or VISA logo on them to be used online. They are handled a little differently than normal credit cards but that would be seamless to you and the consumer.

ATM cards require a pin number for approval. Pin number approval for ATM cards is not yet available online. These cards are only good in ATM's or swipe machines that accept them.

thanks hahmike and Rand,

i just got VISA electron card and I hope it qualifies as debit card. I have seen on the web that is refered as both Debit and ATM card and that's what scares me despite bank claims.

Also, according to VISA's site:

Visa Electron
One of the world's most widely accepted electronic payment card, Visa Electron is accepted for payment at more than 8 million merchants around the world, on the internet and for cash withdrawals at more than 645,000 ATMs.

In my country I don't qualify for a gold visa and i'll have to get an offshore account for it. I know many webmasters in similar situation.

Glad to hear that epoch accepts debit cards.

I had signed up for them until I saw:

Note: The standard commission rates apply to prices set from $8.95 to $59.99. Webmasters are allowed to set lower prices from $5.95 to $8.94, for a non-standard commission of 60%, between $3.95 to $5.94 for a non-standard commission of 40% and between $1.95-$3.94 for a non-standard commission of 7%.

I had a basic site where I wanted $9.95 signup and $4.95 recurring. 40% is way too high!

ANY billing company online accepts debit cards as long as they have the visa/MC logo on them.

ATM-only cards are different, they require a PIN. None of the billing companies can charge them currently. However I have seen 1 company that claims they can charge them.

http://www.xchargebacks.com - not sure how legit they are, looks kinda dumpy, but they do claim to do ATM online.

SunTzu is right. If your debit card has the Visa/MC logo on it, it acts like a credit card, only it debits your checking account. The billing companies don't even need to know this.

Another area where Globill rocks is in service. Whether me or one of my members, e-mails get answered promptly and problems solved swiftly. Also, all you have to do is play dumb and they will literally set up your new site's membership/.htaccess for you.

I just activated visa electron and made a domain purchase. No problem at all,the card seems to respond like a normal visa card. Definetely, I recommend the ones having problems to get a CC with high limit to take a look at debit card solutions. You can set the limit of $ purchases/day and I think it will be good not to have a very large amount on these cards in case some how your number gets stolen.
