Odds alone dictate that there would be hundreds if not tens of thousands of planets that went through and are near identical to the formation of the earth, in that just perfect orbit. Even if they never developed life like ours, even single cell bacteria would count.

What I find funny though is what you said. Seems as if you think there is no God, then why not aliens? What would make Earth oh so special if there was not divine intervention creating it. I've always questioned how they can determine the speed of light over the course of the universe with measurement experiments that fit on a table top.

Even if they are correct, it is by Earth time. Our perspective of one million years could be different than life on another planet. Just because the human body dies after 70 or so Earth years doesn't mean that would be case for life across the entire universe. Our entire lives may be the blink of an eye for life elsewhere.
