The Jews that are members of this board seem to demand political correctness, with political correctness being defined as; do not critisize Israel, or Jews in any way.

If one dares to say anything of a critical nature about the history of Jews, about the history of Israel, about their religion, their leaders, or their tactics, one will come under verbal attack. Generally speaking, they do not seem to understand free debate and take everything that is said personally.

Generally speaking, they seem to have a much inflated view of the importance of Israel in the scheme of the World, and specifically a much inflated view of Israel's importance to the USA.

Israel is an insignificant country, in land mass, and in population. It has a relatively large military for the size of its population but its military is incapable of projecting itself Globally

It is a welfare state and will probably cease to exist if the USA stops its economic and military support. The only real importance that Israel has to the United States, is to our policticians, and this is because of the number of Christians and Jews in this country that think Israel is a holy land and are voters.

Now I realize that I will recieve the wrath of the many of you for saying that tiny Israel and its five-six million people are insignificent, and lectures about how important Israel is to the existence of the USA, and how giving Israel 2.8 billion plus, in aid is acually for our economic benefit.

I have been and I am a supporter of Israel, but Israel, its leaders, its people, its tactics, are all open for critisism, the same as is the USA.

Your premise focuses on "THEY" -- you use "THEY" to describe all the Jewish readers of this board. Jews, like all other religious/cultural groups, are very diverse in opinions. There are many Jews who support Israel...true. But there are also many Jews that OPPOSE Israel--either outright [many Orthodox sects think the creation of an Israeli state postpones or delays the coming of the Messiah] or in tactics see the Peace Now movement in Israel. The use of the word "THEY" implies that all Jews are the same--they are not. They are individuals and they also vary by the country and class and cultures they originate from. Sephardic [Jews from Middle East deriving from Spanish Jewry] culture differs from Ashkenazic [European Jews] culture. Jews also differ in terms of assimilation and national origin.

My point is that there is NO one unitary Jewish cabal that one can point to and blame. Perhaps your arguments would find more cogency if you elected to use the term "Sharon's government" or "Zionist militarist element." Then at least we would know who exactly it is you are referring to.

Jewish individuals have greatly influenced and contributed to Western society. There are over 100 Jewish Nobel Laureates. Many of the greatest actors and directors were Jewish. Many of the greatest figures in the arts are Jewish. Many of the leading thinkers of our times from Derrida to Stephen Jay Gould are Jewish. Even the way we dress is a result of Jewish indivduals' creativity--Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Donna Karan. All Jewish. Indeed, three of the greatest influences on the 20th century were Jews or recently descended from Jews--Marx, Freud, and Jesus. It is a shame to embarass and assault these individuals' heritage by the blanket use of the word "THEY."

The real question here is that given the IMMENSE contributions of Jews to Western thought, arts, culture, finance, and technology, why is there no Jewish History Month?

I am fully cognizant of the fact that Jews are not monolithic in their thinking and actions. I thought that by using, "genrerally speaking" would clarify my use of the word "they". In your case it did not. I should have been more specific.

I am also aware of the greatness of some of the Jewish people, but Jewish people do not control the market, when it comes to greatness.

What you people seem to fail to realize is that the Jewish community is an important economic factor, that in many countries can affect it's economy.

Jews are one of the few communities that stick together and help each other's biz to grow (much like what we do, but in real life biz).

Thanks to this, the jewish community occupies strong positions in politics almost anywhere in the world, and most of them send money back to israel.

It's not really a matter of voters over the christians there, it's a matter of unions in the USA being controlled by jews, and of extremely rich people funding political campaigns and so on.

Jews don't "control" the media, most of these media companies are public companies. Controlled by their shareholders. Labelling, for example, Disney, as "controlled by Jews" is like labelling Adelphia as "controlled by Christian fundamentalists". The only thing that controlled, controls, and will control public companies is the profit motive.

Even if it is conceded that there are disproportionate Jews in a particular industry is that really that unusual that certain trades have a concentration of people from certain ethnic/religious backgrounds? Nobody is complaining that the NBA's players are mostly black. Nobody is complaining that most of the banking institutions in this country were formed by Scotsmen or Scots Irish.

The French people do not hate the US, most of them do not agree with US international policy. That is a big difference.

I keep looking at sep 11th, and wondering why? Now, again there is the question of who was actually involved. Was is the Arabs? Was it Israel? Will the common people ever really know? Really?

I personally strongly believe that killing is wrong. Does that make me a pussy? I don't really care. The Church, in one form or another, has killed more people than every major 'war' in the last 2000 years. All over whether or not one person's God is better than another. Humanity has issues. I give it another 10-20 years before the only thing left is roaches, and not the smokeable kind either.

My Grandparents migrated from Marseilles to Miami in 1959, at age 23....with two kids less than 4 years old, and in debt more than 2 grand for the move. Neither spoke a word of english.

By the time they reached age 50, most of their friends back in the village were dead.

Why? Because life in other countries just ain't the same

My distant cousins still live in same rathole, in the same village, still use the same cabinets my Grandfather built pre-1959. They still shit in the same yard where the Nazi's terrorized my ancestors.

So your claiming the US and Israel target innocent civilians?

In the case of the USA, does Dresden, Nagasaki, Hiroshimo, ring a bell. In Korea and Vietnam we targeted civilians, as well, but not on the scale that we did during the Second World War.

War is a dirty affair. Civilians are as much an enemy as are Soldiers. It is civilians that provide the manpower, and the production required to fight and sustain a war.

Good point. Although I do find it sad that even people with even a basic high school education could not have figured it out for themselves.

I am never suprised to see how many people buy into the idea that the United States is some sort of moral beacon, a shining light in the world above and beyond any reproach. Esp after Sept 11th. This country is running amok in its new found patriotism. It is putrid. Americans, for the most part, are ignorant. They will believe whatever the idiot box tells them. Everyone is a patriot now, everyone is a hero. Yet give them a basic test on American history, and they will fail. People are so proud these days, yet they have no idea what they are even proud of. Morons.

This country doesnt know its ass from a hole in the ground. One minute special interest groups are shredding apart and rewriting history books to include a more lefty friendly curriculum, turning what were once heroes into genocidal maniacs. Columbus is now akin to Hitler. Thomas Jefferson, slave owning wife beater. All white men prior to 1970 are propped up as misogynist and racist... yet now post Sept 11 we are supposed to be a proud wonderous nation of people dedicated to making the world a better place. Which is it? Make up your fucking minds.

The average ignorant American does not deserve to live. They merely exist and thrive on the work of others. Very few people work to make this country a great place, the rest of you were just fortunate to have your ignorant asses born here... and you live your life oblivious to the world around you or your place in it. Most of you are a waste of fucking space.

So stuff another cheeseburger in your mouth, salute the flag, and get all teary eyed at the Star Spangled Banner... you are an American damnit. Oblivious to your ignorance you will stumble through life following the whims of the puppetmasters that control you.

I have been thinking about this myself lately.

Sometimes, I question my own integrity, and then I look around....

But I'd rather be smart, than wrong.
