How hard is it to maintain a CRT Projection HDTV?
Circuit city is selling the Hitachi 57? CRT Projection HDTV for around a thousand bucks which is a pretty nice deal. The quality of this thing is fairly bitching, as long as the room you want it in is fairly darkened. I?m planning on revamping the basement and turning it into sorta a parlor room of sorts (killing the barely used home gym? finally lol) and want a large screen to go in there, and I figure this unit would be killer for it.
Those of you that have them, how hard is to keep them maintained? To keep optimum quality you have to adjust the guns and whatnot every so often and I just don?t want to have to shit a brick every six months or however often you have to adjust them. Also cocks.

You don't have to do anything to maintain them. Any CRT RPTV I have owned in the past 10 years has had an auto convergence feature.
