ATTN IwantU.com Affiliates: New tracking feature!
Hola,
We have implemented an additional tracking feature this past weekend that you may wish to know about ![]() You now have the ability in addition to using Campaign IDs, to utilize SubIDs as well. What is the difference??? Let's say you want to differentiate between various traffic sources but don't wish to create multiple campaigns - simply append a keyword (or numbers) after your campaign id like so (let's pretend your campaign id is 555008 and you want to use the keyword 'google'): You would promote in the same method as usual, but where you have 555008 in your link, you would instead use 555008.google (anythign after the '.' becomes the SubID). Why would I want to use this instead of just creating more campaign ids??? In the above example, the only real advantage is to save time from creating many campaigns. However we have another example where the advantage is far more obvious: If you run an affiliate programs and wish your affiliate to promote IwantU.com or your own private label site, you can simpyl give them the linkcode using a unique SubID for each. This way you can match their existing Affiliate UID in your system and track their stats through our system seamlessly. No need to create a Campaign ID per affiliate which would be a huge hassle. Where can I view my SubID stats? In your Member Transactions, you will see a new column for SubID (if any) associated with that transactions. This will allow you to see full data on your SubIDs, from profile creations to cancellations refunds, paid signups, rebills, etc... (and what dollar amounts). Shortly, this data will be downloadable in CSV or other formats. I'm sure you can find other uses that this new feature provides. Enjoy ![]()

It's also useful to track performance of different ad placements on the same page. For example, I can create a campaign for one of my linklists (campaign 555008) and then track how well various placements do (555008.main_top, 555008.archive_left, etc).
Good stuff ![]()
