If this is a marketing ploy, Mister Jim, I'm going to have to hire you.. cuz it worked on me, and GFY drama is good for little, usually.

Is the seller still selling or is Techie buying?

If Tear 2 is in fact the seller, I could see why they wouldn't email me, hehe.

Hi Jimb, I believe he was talking to me.

And thanks to everyone else who posted in my thread.

We are still taking offers, and sorry if we are slow to respond as the flood of offers continues to flow in.

At this time we are having our accounts and Legal people reviewing some information we have been given. Like with all of our acquistions we have to consider numerous factors before moving forward, so if it is meant to be it will.

I got burned by a shared hosting setup with WebAir; Jim even offered to give me a discount to try Tear2 out for a month - all this for a $20/mo small fry!

I have been so pleased, I obtained my colo through them - and I've never had a problem that wasn't resolved in seconds.

Good luck building a larger infastructure, Jim!
While you were working for them, you mean?

Why did you take them out of your signature?

He was a customer long before we hired him. Thats how he originally found us, and then he liked the team and got along with everyone and we decided to hire him onto our tech staff where he remains today.

Actually, I wasn't a part of Tear2, then.

I took them out of my sig, because obviously Jim/Nick sell Tear2, and I'm not going to get a chance to get a signup. More importantly, Dr. Ken gyrating his hips was getting old - I think this is funnier. However, if you're looking for great hosting, I'm sure Jim can set you up.

Nah, I had a box with them, but stopped using it well before the first month had expired -- things didn't work out.

I think Nick (dissipate) will be doing some great things in the months to come.

Good luck with the sale, and I'm glad you came clean about your associations, and about who the sale is REALLY for -- it was a bit shady without that disclaimer, but you did the right thing. I can respect building it up for drama purposes, but I don't like outright lies. Spin is fine, but lies never go to a good place.

It was, and this is. But when I replied to you, you had NO signature (or disabled it for that post). It looked shady, but I'm sure you had the best of intentions. I don't know you, so I can only go by your apparently close association with known fuckups (not speaking of Tear2 here) that I see in other threads. I won't go into details on this for a few days.

Alright everyone now that the cat is out of the bag (thanks to all those who tried to help out and keep this under wraps as I wanted this to be a private sale.) For over 6 months we have been providing great hosting services at an affordable cost to the adult community and I look forward to working with everyone for a much longer time.

Yes Tear2Hosting is going to be sold as we want to focus on other projects (mainly our paysite network as well as our freesites). We had a steadily, well put together business that was consitantly profitable and growing. I look forward to answering each one of your emails and speaking to everyone. I want to make this transition as smooth as possible for all of our customers as well as the rest of the operations.

For any Tear2Hosting Customers reading please rest assured that I will personally make myself ready for any questions or concerns you may have. My direct ICQ number as many of you know is 333-300-283 and my direct email address is [email protected].

I thank you all and wish everyone a great day

Jim

I usually remember to disable my sig when I do multiple replies to a thread; Kind of like how I quote a line in an email, and reply below it. If you've seen it once, you've seen it enough. It's just how I done grewed up. It's the 'polite' way. Sometimes, I forget. Other times, I do it for an effect, but mostly I don't even think about it.

Afraid I can't speak of associations, other than Splum. He's one guy here that I know well - I've known him since '01, and I can trust him, hell, he's the one who finally talked me into walking over to this side of the fence. He's never fucked me, or anyone I know.

he doesn't need to prove anyone except the buyer.
Ofcourse they only have 6 months of activity, the 40k is an estimation.

3K per month gross and your profit margin is high?
I've seen you brag about your "team" and routers/switches you have bought.
How does a whole "team" of salaries get paid monthly and "routers/switches/servers" get paid for on 3K per month and have "high profit margin.

I don't see anyting here to sell, just someone who is upside down and might end up shutting down.

But what do I know, I have been wrong once or twice in my life.

I'm kind of shocked myself. They must have an awesome accountant.

Two partners (if I'm not mistaken, somebody please correct me), a tech (who posted in this thread), purchasing the servers for customers to use, rack and bandwidth fees, etc... all on $40k with a "high profit margin". Quite remarkable really.

So i guess running BGP on those cisco 3750's didnt work out for ya? When i met you guys at John Alrights party i knew you were in trouble with your usiness model when you told me it. Hosting is not something you just jump into and expect to make tons of money at, its expensive and takes time to build up a good client base.

Good luck with the sale, Jim at TechieMedia is top notch and if he wants to buy you out, im sure it will be a smooth and painless deal.

BGP? These guys don't even know what an AS is. These guys are such amateurs. They don't even know how to install the operation system their stuff runs on. I hear the servers break down often also.....*cough* junk.

Way to get caught in a lie, then lie some more then finally tell the truth. I hope this is part of your maturing. You might start with the truth first next time.

Doubtful any company is going to come within 100ft of you guys - all you got is a couple servers and a couple customers who will no doubt bail once they find out you're selling.

One question I do have - is the 10 GigE cross connect from Nlayer included in the sale of your company? Also your website says you are pushing ~3Gbps through mulitiple carriers using Cisco and Juniper equipment. Is all this included in the sale?

What specific Cisco & Juniper models?

I never send offers to a Hotmail, Like you guys care what i do or dont, but hell, its a detail.
U guys dont mind someone is just on a Hotmail account ?
And seriously, offering an Adulthost companie for sale ?
Is not the most generale red line here that always when something like a HOUSE PROJECT offered for sale the GROUND is not clean its build on ?
