I use feedwordpress. I throw the feed into the URL box and hit submit, and it updates every 6 hours and I never have to touch it I am not including php tags or getting creative to parse some fucked up rss, it just isn't worth it and it honestly isn't how rss is supposed to be I suggest your programmer shop around to other affiliate programs and see how rss is done in the adult industry, because he is apparently working with the wrong thing have them install wordpress and then install AutoBlog or FeedWordpress, then you will be on the same level that hundreds of webmasters using rss feeds are on I know you all are trying to be creative and trying new things, but there is a tried and true method for doing this, and having some rss script spit out some code that we ONCE AGAIN have to add more code to a page to view isn't going to get you anywhere just give us a basic rss feed want some examples? http://www.mrskin.com/feeds.html?nat...0&source=b od http://www.juicybucks.com/rss.php?A=...ite=10&num=100 http://www.mrskin.com/feeds.html?nat...kinternational http://www.juicybucks.com/rss.php?A=...ite=21&num=100 none of those require any extra code and they can be used by feedwordpress, autoblog and autoblogger pro very easily, your cannot |

btw, rss feeds are common in adult programs these days, just look around
rss feeds are NOT for the advanced webmaster anymore, they are about as common as a hosted gallery |

"its setup to parse off of an internal script call it would appear"
"php rewrite photo:thumbnail to img src" no clue what that means dotcommer, but a programmer friend just said that would fix it |

so, in conclusion
GET YOUR FEEDS VALID, then announce that you have them if you aren't even going to have valid rss feeds, then why bother? |

Jace,
I spoke with my programmer and he thought you might be using the Formated RSS version. We offer both "Formated RSS" and "Raw RSS" . Here is the Raw RSS link http://www.celebritycashrocks.com/f/...rker-Feed_Topf However when I look at your earlier post I noticed that you used the raw feed. You also posted a link to the movie reviews that had an error earlier. He looked into it and found one of the movie reviews had a Unicode character, so he is currently going to fix it. I will start doing more testing in some of the blog software that you posted about earlier. Thanks for you assistance. |

Jace,
Just got this from my programmer. http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?u...Title%2Fblah-3 He said that your cached version will erase in 5 Min, or you can just add /uncache-1/ to the end and it will validate instantly. |

To CelebrityCash.com... I know Jace comes off a bit raw but what he is saying is shared by others.
If you want to compete against the other celebrity sponsors then you have to conform to the standards of RSS feeds they are all using... We need to be able to promote every sponsor with the same method of parsing the FEED. We all use ABP or FeedWordpress and NEED your feed to conform because a lot of us run upwards of 200 blogs and we cannot edit each blog to specifically be able to parse each sponsors feeds... |

if sponsors would just take the time and check out what others are doing, plus read all the gfy threads about rss then there would be no issue |

Thanks for saying this -- I haven't had the balls in the past, admittedly. I would pull Celebrity Cash feeds in a *HEARTBEAT* if they offered them in the standard format. I can't go modifying code (especially in a product like Autoblogger) for a single sponsor. JS feeds make it MUCH harder for us, not easier. |

Yeah, I hear you. I think Bob is the guy that can "get things done" over there. He's always been responsive in the past.

No hard feelings about some of the post. I completely agree with you guys, we need to create the RSS feeds to work seamlessly into all the major Blogs without having to write additional code. When we created the feeds, we found that the Java Script version was the most simplistic to use and gave the webmaster the most flexibility in layout design etc... We spent several weeks creating the feeds and adding all of the extra bells and whistles so they could be customized to the look and feel of the webmasters site. I had a meeting today with the programming team today and they are going to create a 3rd option for the RSS feeds. This option will be created to work with hosted Blogs such as WordPress, Blogger etc? Once we have them completed, I will let you guys know. I appreciate all of your feedback and it?s with good feedback that we will be able to create an outstanding product. Since you guys have been working with RSS feeds for a while, what are some of the features that you would like to see in an RSS feed? Do you like having the ability to create a feed like the system we are currently using below? Or are there any other ideas you have. Since my programmers will be working on this any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ![]() |

one thing you might give us though is multiple images or the option of a larger image, something around 300-350px width is GREAT for blogs and looks wonderful when it is posted check out this - http://celebs.adailyfix.com/2006/11/09/carole-laure/ - that is from mrskincash, and while I love some of the things, the image is WAY too small, but the way they have their done is perfect other than the image This is another feed from juicybucks, http://celebs.adailyfix.com/2006/10/...cker-sex-tape/ - i like this feed also hope that helps |

To the original question - CelebrityCash is an awesome sponsor for us with very high conversions. The guys will work closely with you to overcome any problems implementing their feeds. Solid.

Thanks for the feed back, I will talk with the programming team about adding the larger photos. The celebritycash.com team has really been working hard on creating feeds that have a very easy to use interface. We are going to be adding a whole bunch more, but I want to make sure that once completed, these feeds can be used on any site. The feed back in this thread is one way of accomplishing that. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for taking some time out of everyone's busy schedule to provide us with very valuable feed back (Especially you Jace, Do you ever sleep '24,586' posts ) |
