Im starting to like paypal more and more..

so many really nice features especially the shopping cart. The rating system will help cut down on thieving cheaters and help you learn who your dealing with. It's a very good thing that they offer a debit card with their services..long like PAYPAL!!..hopefully..

Sponsors, this is the wave of the future...jump on it now!!

This may throw some cold water on your enthusiasm. I'd say, don't use them for any amount of money you couldn't afford to lose.

Im sure that there has been some problems with this as in every version of cyber money but I have never had any problems whatsoever with my account. Never had any freezes or anything like that..but yes I do watch out for stuff like that. I'm just curious as to how much money paypal actually makes.

if you haven't had problems yet it doesn't mean you won't have that happen to you. most likely it'll happen when you really need the cash and you won't be able to take it out.

I've had sponsors rip off my reserves for way more than anything paypal ever screwed up on, that is for sure.

Just don't fuck up when you click "send."

like I have stated, I anticipate hiccups with any type of digital money program and I will never have all of my sponsors send me money via paypal. That would be plain stupid...but I do hate walking in the bank with 10 different Ibill checks...

This article says at least $5 million a year, not including fines from Mastercard and Visa ....

http://news.com.com/2100-1017-937700.html

Maybe Wells Fargo will help them scrub more ... but that could also mean higher fees and less throughput ...

People always use that "Paypal" sucks site as leverage, I have used Paypal for over 3 years, and never encountered a problem that wasnt any different than any BANKING problem I have ever had.

The same people who bitch about 10 day holds on out of state checks complain about paypals methods, I get paypalled money EVERY DAY, whether its surfer donations, member sites, or design work, and have never had any problems.

Not to mention I have purchased MANY things on eBay and even sold high priced music gear and the same as getting a 1300 check from Webpower in Florida, its out of state money, so it sits a few days, or they have a few probs with times but hey man, Paypal kicks ass, I added it to a member site and added an extra hun in my pocket a week.

PaypalRocks!

Toodamnfli, you have nothing to worry about. Has anyone ever read paypalwarning.com? They didn't freeze that guys account because they felt like it. The two parties involved had just opened brand new accounts and were exchanging $10,000. Don't you think a flag would go up? Any online bank would do that. So they froze the account until they could verify it. THEY RELEASED HIS MONEY AFTER VERYIFING IT WAS NOT FRAUD. No business will just do something like that "because they feel like it," not unless they're a fradulent company. I've been using paypal for over 3 years and have over 1000 recieved transactions to my account and I've only had ONE chargeback ever. If you're not doing anything illegal you have nothing to worry about.

Wait until you get a charge back and it takes you a month to sort it out.

They're losing about $11 per share ...

Exactly. It's not so bad that they freeze your account for preventitive measures, what's bad is it takes them forever to sort it out.
