My Guitar Neck Just Cracked! (Pic) :(

The guitar (Gibson Les Paul Standard) just got knocked and fell flat on it's front... I heard the snap

This is a fucking beautiful guitar and plays like a fucking dream... I'm hoping I can get this fucker fixed good... it's gonna cost me Especially in the UK...

Anyways... Gonna go cry now

Damn dude, sorry to hear that. I know I would be totally bummed if that happened to my LP Standard, but it does look like it was a clean break which should make for a solid fix.

No, I'm in LA ....but I used to have a Epiphone endorsment. I would argue that it's a design flaw, or bad neck from the factory and tell them in fell softly on a carpeted floor. You might get a whole new neck for free

my friend says:

[21:14] : oops
[21:14] : looks bad but headstock breaks are easy to fix
[21:15] : tell him to take it to his local guitar shop, they can glue it and clamp it and it will be good as new for about £75
[21:16] : when it's fixed the glue sets harder than the wood it's fixed to, guitar techs fix crap like that all the time

doesnt sound so bad, i hope it plays the same!!

Try £200 ... and I've been advised that a simple glue job is not a good idea... Gibson repair shop use glue, AND then do some wierd thing that covers the whole area and more to give it strength and flexability.... So I'm waiting on a reply from them...

It's probably a playing thing ... it's not just Gibson's that have this issue ... many other manufacturers have the same problem.

I just can't wait to get it fixed!

People ... come and order some toons so I can get my guitar fixed!!!
