I'm running ads online and about once a week I get an e-mail from a "girl" saying she's interested in modeling. My ad specifically stats 18-25 year olds. I still get one girl that just wants info so I give it to her and we go back and forth a few times. Most often there is no photo or mention of age. We go back a few times and then after a while she sends a photo or whatever and then drops the bomb that she is like 16 or 17. Now common, I know now it's a friggen cop because only a cop would be looking in the adult classifieds looking for work (and be below 18) and actually say, "he, he I know I'm a bit young, but can I model for you, I'll send a photo lol". Fuck you cop, fuck off. I run a legit biz and the last thing I need is fucking surveilance on my ass. I dont shoot below 18 so fuck off. Stop soliciting me because I'm not going to bite. And then what happens when a cop lies, says she's 18 then shows up and it's a fucking sting operation and before I get a chance to look at two forms of ID I'm slapped with cuffs. How does that go over with the wife, what about her career? What would the neighbours say? Fuck off COPS! I even have one photo of a "girl/cop" I'm sure she's a cop when she was 16 years old. Fucking baiting...rant end. Anyone else have this problem?

Now, let's not blame the cops for three reasons:
1) I was NYPD for many years, so I have some incite as to the thinking here.

2) They are taught these tactics by mainly FBI "experts" and we know who they work for...it's really their fault for improper training that could entangle a regular guy.

3) They (most) look at the world as us vs them and paranoia runs high, they can't catch the scumbags who would take advantage of kids if they didn't assume anyone who would shoot porn would break the law, it's almost a cultural thing, the way a black man can tend to take racial offense when something is said or done which has no racial implications whatsoever. unfair but understandable.

While I admit it may seem like bad practice, it's really the same as a dui checkpoint 3 blocks from a bar...

I'll give you a perfect example:
I was a cop in the Brownsville housing projects. A bad bad drug infested area where murder was an everyday thing. Now, I was in a task force in charge of taking drugs and guns off the street, and everyone knows you cannot just walk up and search someone without probably cause. So how do you get these scumbags off the street before some kid gets killed by crossfire? Simple.

in the projects there are signs on every building that says "if you do not live in this building you are committing criminal trespass (violation not the Misdemeanor) if you enter". So we would stand in the lobby of the corner building (which lead out of the project and to the stores) on a cold day. Of course people are going to walk through the building to keep warm on their way out right? So we say "hey, you live here?" of course they say no...now they are under arrest for trespass and as a search incidental to lawful arrest can be cuffed and searched under NY state law. If a gun or drugs was found, we charged them with crim tress, and then for the stuff found after the arrest. If not, we used what we call "discretion" and drop the charge on the spot and cut them loose just the way you can be stopped for a speeding ticket (under arrest whether you believe it or not) and he can let you go if he feels you don't deserve it.

of course only "shady" characters would get the stop, but a lot of times innocent people just walking through would be stopped and feel "harassed", but what's the alternative? they lose their 8yr old son when gunfire goes off in the park?

So it's a necessary evil. If we don't give them a chance to get the bad guys, they'll find a way to outlaw the whole damn thing...and that's a fact. Just roll with it and say " Sorry, I don't break the law, come back in two years..." be real upfront about age and refuse to discuss unless the question is answered. At that point you are protected to a point because you are not knowingly discussing this with a minor and although they can lie, there isn't a DA in the US that would prosecuted an obscene language with a minor case based on a lie (a lie has to ba made to make an arrest not directly related or hinged on that lie)...In other words: in that case, a lied about age cannot be the only evidence so you are good (don't send pictures as examples though, get my drift?)

No harm, no foul. Anything else will have to be figured out in case law unfortunately.

That's my "albeit slightly tainted" two cents.

And yes I always right back once I find out the age and set it in stone that I dont shoot MINORS for any reason or circumstance, ever. I've never had a model/cop reply to me after I have said that.

Kinda proves to me that they actually ARE cops. What 16 year old girl do you know of that does what they are told lol. Anyway, I would never reply to a girl if she told me she was underage anyway, it's just for the situations where there is no mention of age. Now if I see that they look close to 18, I ask right away and no, dont send photo examples. I think giving a link to a website is probably okay since you're not distributing it and the claims on the websites should be protection. I just shouldn't have to worry about this sort of thing. I fucking am not going to post ads in the adult classifieds fishing for minors. Fucking cops. BTW there is a crack down around my neck of the woods for pedophiles so I guess it's why there is such a prevelance of it now. Maybe they want to talk with each other and take my e-mail address off the list. I'm not interested in shooting minors!

Actually I've had this happen a few times last year while on Yahoo. They contact you initially saying they are 18, and want to model. After some small talk, they hit you with the fact they are a minor, but it would still be 'ok' with their mother.

I've always just stuck to my guns that not only do you need to be 18, but also needed to provide PROOF of that, and sign a modeling contract. Nothing your mother can 'ok'.

So after you turn them down you get another IM later telling you it's their mother who is referring you to the authorities, and all that shit. Funny they use almost the same tactics, and shit verbatum which is one of the 'hints'.

However, I've never fallen for this trap. One, because I run a legit business. Even though I do not shoot hardcore. I am not going to get sued or fucked with for some bullshit like this.

But the main thing that protected me in these cases was the fact that I archive ALL IM conversations. So they can clearly see that I repeat, and restate the facts, you MUST be 18, and provide 2 forms of proof.

Plus they contacted ME. Not vice versa. In chats I participate in the room, but I NEVER make first contact to anyone. Even if they are from my area.
