aarrrgggggghhhhh.. Any Yahoo SEO experts around?

This has happened TWICE now.. I have a site I've been slowly developing for one of the huge extremely competitive terms.. The site has a ranking that gets a couple hundred SE hits a day from yahoo.. lasts for a couple weeks and then boom.. it drops off into the void for a few weeeks before reappearing...

This isn't the first time I've had yahoo do weird shit like this.. I had one site completely dissappear for a couple weeks once as well.. And I have another site for another highly competitive term that's slowly been moving up the rankings and I "think" it's experienced drop out periods as well.. Need to double check that one.

So does anyone know of anything to do with yahoo that causes this?

one reason that comes to mind is your site being down when the bot visits.

It's possible I suppose... But there are other sites on that server and they haven't experienced the same thing...

Yahoo has been very fickle lately, for a faily competitive term that I own 3 of the top 20 spots for, they fluctuate around atleast weekly.
