it was faked...im sure
|
Just grab some of the testing footage from the Lunar landers. They tested them in the desert areas that were made mostly of rock. They had trouble, because the rockets wold dig a hole as big or bigger than the lander.
Then look at the photos of the landing on the moon |

Oh really? How exactly are you sure? Please explain. |

I've always said that if this place ever started requiring a paid membership or some kind of charge to post, that I'd never do it. But I'm only kidding myself.
I'd pay. And it would be worth it. |

for the longest time I thought those pictures were suspicious too until I watched a show about it on discovery where they explained everything... except the radiation shielding that would be necessary for a lunar landing hummmmmm spaz |

Pictures of Apollo astronauts erecting a US flag on the Moon show the flag bending and rippling. How can that be? After all, there's no breeze on the Moon.... http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2001/ast23feb_2.htm |
and what about Russians? Were they on the moon? and if yes was it true?

It is like telling an 8 year old there's no santa claus - they WANT to believe it.. and the fact that presents show up every christmas morning is all the proof they need. |
So, why doesn't someone take one of the thousands of telescopes on earth and simply find the landing area and take a picture of it? Make a game of it.. They left a LOT of stuff there, should be in about the same condition as when it was left. I have not played with the modern consumer telescopes but you would think that enen some of the larger ones of those could be used for this.

http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sto...58-663,00.html ok, my question answered here.... The RASC Calgary Centre Can a telescope see the Lunar Landers or Lunar Rovers on the Moon? http://calgary.rasc.ca/moonscope.htm and a snipped from the same page... "OK, so how do we know that the landers and rovers are there? * The astronauts recorded thousands of still images and movies of the descent, the exploration, and their departure - a historical record of the events. * The moon rocks brought back by the astronauts have been examined by scientists the world over and are unquestionably of lunar origin. * The ALSEP science packages put on the surface by the astronauts radioed back significant amounts of data. * The seismometers recorded "moonquakes", and when the astronauts returned to the Command Module they jettisoned the landers and crashed them into the moon and the seismometers recorded these events as well as the crashes of the Saturn IV B stages. * The Apollo 11, 14 and 15 missions left behind "corner reflectors" which astronomers (e.g. McDonald Observatory, Texas) can use to measure the distance between the Earth and the Moon precisely, even today. This has been upgraded recently to the Apache Point Observatory Lunar Laser-ranging Operation. We now know the range from the Moon to Texas within one millimetre. " |

This shit is explained over and over again and the answer can be found on Google within 5 secs. If this is reason enough for you to believe in a conspiracy then you're a bit simple. |
The time-delay is due to us having to "re-invent" all the technology to get us there.
We certainly went to the moon - else there wouldnt be the mirror relays set up on the surface of the moon that we're using every day for scientific study. |

why the fuck do we have to take so long and cost so much when we already have one in a hanger - these guys flew it last - just needs some polishing up and we are good to go within 6 months

I did not read one single post in this thread, yet I still posted.
How insane insane is that? :D |

Are you kidding? * Apollo 11 - July 16, 1969. First manned landing on the Moon, July 20. * Apollo 12 - November 14, 1969. First precise manned landing on the Moon. * Apollo 14 - January 31, 1971. Alan Shepard, the sole astronaut of the Mercury MR-3 mission, walks on the Moon. * Apollo 15 - July 26, 1971. First mission with the Lunar Rover vehicle. * Apollo 16 - April 16, 1972. First landing in the lunar highlands. * Apollo 17 - December 7, 1972. Final Apollo lunar mission, first night launch, only mission with a professional geologist. Why haven't we been back since '72? Nothing there. |

You know threads like these and tons of moronic conspiracy theories that you see floating around all over the net and TV can be put to rest considering you can easily see the fucking flag planted in plain view with a high powered telescope.

What they had then isn't even 1:2000 as powerful as what we have now. There's no excuse for the 14 years. |

I'm not asking why we haven't been back. Honestly we don't need to go back and spend countless billions in production & fuel. I'm wondering why it's going to take 14 years to do what should be the simplist thing for us to do? We've done it before right? |
Biggest horseshit in the history on mankind that nobody bothers to explain or question.
