funny thing but if my child were hurt or molested, my first thought would be to help my child feel better and safer. i can't see how murdering someone and bringing what will be an ongoing series of legal problems and reporters into my child's life will help her to feel safe again. basically her jerkoff father is making sure that his child, instead of having an isolated incident to confuse and scare her, will now have many, many of them.

it's interesting how many men here don't seem to express anything about concern for how their kid would be feeling - just the need for violent retribution - for something that may not even have happened.

Exactly! If the daughter was traumatized now she is like super freaked out! She will be endlessly teased at school and be in a living hell. Thanks Dad!!!!

Correct and in this case even if they did they would all but certainly get another hung jury whereupon the man would just walk later rather than sooner.

There is no way you're gonna get 12 jurors to agree to convict this man even if you try him a hundred times

Capt. Gary MacNamara said that police had not received a complaint about the child being assaulted before the killing, and "we have no indication it's true or not true."

What if it turns out that the molestation charges are false, or that the child's own parents were molesting her?

It seems a bit odd that there are no further details about the alleged molestation. For example, if the kid is only two, one might assume that her mother would be watching her all of the time. How would she let her child come into contact with the guy next door?

If she interrupted the guy in the commission of such a crime, it would seem logical to call the police, and if the next door neighbor guy knew or even suspected that he was going to be caught for molesting a kid, why didn't he flee?

Also, the murder happened Monday, so why didn't the attorney for the lawyer charged with the murder provide some small amount of evidence that proves his client somehow justifiably murdered another person, as in "he was caught in the act", the "child told us", or whatever?

If there turns out to be something solid against the guy that was killed, then I agree that the father may get off with a slap on the wrist, but until much more is known, it seems premature for the mob mentality of some in this thread to be justified.

Also, while I understand the urge to kill such a person if they did what was suggested, a person murdering somebody can not go unpunishsed. So, if you are going to do that then you should know you are going to go down. If you think it is worth that you made that choice. If revenge murders were allowed all the time then we are back in the wild west.

I would have took my time torturing him and when he almost died, i'd care him back to health and do it again, over and over and over... I think he went fast and easy which he didnt deserve.

My comments were based on the assumption that the father had good reason to believe his neighbor was the guilty party. Quite obviously if that is not the case than that would change everything.

I would hope that the police investigation will seek and find the answers to all of the questions you've posed here.

What was the 2 year old doing alone with this "odd" neighbor? It isn't uncommon for small children to "project" ideas and actions as if they actually happened to themselves.

Maybe he took the time to decide, he was/is cool with spending whatever amount of time/$$$ on the bad deal. I see him getting it a little easier.

Alot of freaking sicko's out there, not much seems to be stopping them.

I can't blame him...but I hate the fact that the kid will loose so much.
