In my eyes this thread and all of the other similar threads, are simply an attempt to gain attention, which is extremely sad and makes them total hypocrites.

Yes, people can make donations without bidding on an auction, but the auction is drawing attention, just the same as auctions for any other charity, people could donate without bidding.

So what if BoyAlley is trying to raise his profile in the process, he is doing it in a way that supports a very good cause, rather than the way certain other people have done it by being abusive etc. I know which method I prefer.

In anycase, by starting this thread you are helping boost BoyAlley's profile even further.

For someone who is quite new to this, BA has done extremely well - why attack a guy for raising his profile and running his business well? jealousy?

I enjoy teh BoyAlley's style, and think he makes entertaining posts.

That said, I don't care if he does his sig auctions for reasons that are 100% motivated by furthering his own cause. I don't think that he is, but I don't care if he is.
