reporting CP site advice

I was emailed a site containing CP, the registrar is ENOM, I reported it to ASACP but should I also report it to ENOM or wait for ASACP to investigate it further first and let them do it?

Please report it to ENOM, too.

ASACP reports validiated cp sites to ISPs, billing companies, and domain registrars that have a large # of related reports. Then, we contact their Compliance Department and estabish a relationship, so they are aware of ASACP and that its reports are considered 'high priority" by the companies we work
with.

ENOM is not one of these. However, we will check the cp reporting database.

Thank you for your concern and action!

PS - Please always send reports to http://www.asacp.org/report.php. This way they go directly into the databse. Thank you again.

I used to monitor a couple of freehosts for Xamo back in the day, and it was disturbing to say the least. I couldn't imagine INSPECTING it full time.

I recently had to deal with this as well. I reported it to ASACP, the sites web host, and sent it to the local PD to where the domain was registered.

It took about 4 days for the host to respond and remove it.

Reviewing the cp reports is very difficult; I only had to do if for five months, but the person who does this on a daily basis is the ASACP Compliance Director, Tim Henning. He has been doing this for almost 10 year. (There is an article about him in the August AVNOnline magazine).

Most people even in the industry, thankfully, have never seen CP. The first time people are shocked, upset, digusted, horrified, etc. We receive many emails from these people and need to help calm them after such an experience. It's all very sad.
