I remember watching a show which said 90 years ago GM ford or some other company had an electric that went for 110 miles on a single charge and still works today, Now with computers etc .... Electric cars have a range of 120 miles. basically the idea was dropped and never develped. I think Hybrids are the future as well, but that technology will take time.
