ibill auto delete expire users script

Hi all,

Anyone interested in a script that can auto delete expire users from ibill every day?

This script get expire users info from ibill and then delete the users in your server. So you don't need to generate a list of expire users and manually delete it every day.

I just finish it and want to sell to the public if someone is interested.

What I want to know is this.

Currently I am using the SiteAdmin suite of stuff from Tools4Webmasters.

So it creates its own set of logs... username, pin, subscription id, trans id # etc.

What information is it pulling from iBill as to which accounts are expired? Pin codes? That would be the most obvious I would guess as earlier versions of SiteAdmin didnt log trans and subscription id#'s.

This script will pull the expired pins from the cmi and then search through my logs and delete the appropriate account?

I not only want this script, I NEED this script.

I payed someone a few years back to write me a script that would take the pin codes that I entered manually, and then do it. If you can make it so it does it on the fly, I would be a happy camper. My script has bugs that irritate me.

What's up with Ibill? I have to say I hate Ibill. I have to sign up to a lot of affiliate programs, and sites that use Ibill cause the most problems, not because of the site, but because of IBILL. What's wrong with these people that will ALL that money they can't make something NEARLY as intuitive as some of the other independant sites have.. Do I sound angry? I aammmmm.

Thanks for all you guys.

I just finished part of the script. Currently, it auto delete all expire users every day. I am working on auto delete chargeback, refund and reboke users. So there is no web site for this script now. But I will it a web site soon and sell this script for general public.

Hi Labret, I use the same password script with you. So it should work perfect.

Here is the details of how it works:

1. You enter your ibill account through a web interface. Every thing is encrypted.
2. run the deletion script. The script will first connect to ibill server --> generate an expire users list --> store the expire users info in your local server --> delete the expire users from your membership db file and .htpasswd --> make a backup of both files --> generate a report.
3. You can login to a web interface to see how many users delete each day and see their details.

This is how the script work for my site. And now, I don't need to go to ibill CMI and generate an expire list everyday and delete it manually. Save me a lot of times.

This script can currently works with any site which are using .htpasswd and a .txt membership. It might work with mysql in the future.

As for ccbill, becasue I don't use ccbill, I just thought it will auto delete users. If anyone interested in ccbill versoin, you can forward ccbill info to me, I think the script can work in the same way as ibill.

If you have any question, icq me at 162913066.

Has anyone ever heard of Web2000 from a now defunct company
called Zerius? I still use it on many of my sites. It is hands down the best Ibill pincode software.

It used to do all this automatically until Ibill changed the way expired accounts are retrieved recently.

Can someone give me an example URL format for retrieving expired accounts from Ibill? I am hoping to fix it.

In other words how does this work, with the correct parameters you can retrieve cancelled accounts.

https://secure.ibill.com/cgi-win/di/cancel.exe

Actually after reading this I read through

http://www.ibill.com/Support/Setup/D...ntegration.pdf

And found out what the trouble was for my software...Ibill had changed the URL and put the delimiting text for the subscription numbers in upper case.

A quick edit of my perl scripts and I now have software that allows you to manage plans, keeps a database of all users for each plans, interacts with Ibill on pincode sales and best of all runs a cron job to poll Ibill for expired users and then AUTOMATICALLY removes them from the site.

Cost to me: $0.0

I am using iBill's "Password Management" option and get my users deleted automatically by iBill itself.

Maybe I have missed something but what can your software do for me?

tnx

You have had no problems with ibill corrupting your passwd file? Evidently you did not judging from your post.

I dont know how many members you are dealing with, but I was facing almost weekly issues with only 3000 or so members. It was irritating to say the least. And I know others it happened to as well quite often.

When I was using Ibill I used a Member Admin script called MMS from http://www.primeinternet.net/mms-tou...nt-control.htm and it worked great. It checks for expired users several times per day and has conf settings for custom e-mails and all. I have had it for two years now and its rock solid. Even with all the pincode fuckups at Ibill and the weekly system changes this program never failed.

doesen't ibill delete the expired users automatically like ccbill does?
ccbill also has a manual version that you can run to delete expired users as well
but normally the first transaction of each day ccbill's script will do delete them automatically

or are we talking about something different here?
