I think that is true for models who do not do hardcore. These days hardcore has become so... hard, they HAVE to become super whores just to get work. see, that's my problem - it's a slang term, that was once used to refer to prostitutes because the profession was seen as morally apprehensible and as such carried shame with it.

but the rest of the article was about prostitution, the history thereof, etc. so if whore is a derogatory term for prostitute, i think it's outdated.

long story short, i don't have a definition for whore - but i know the word sells DVD's off the shelf and works in marketing sites, so i know it must make men think something arousing - perhaps "this is that dirty/nasty woman my wife won't be for me," but again, i'm at a loss for defining "whore" just as i was at a loss for defining "slut" when someone called me that in high school after they found out i had sex with my girlfriend (for the first time ever). clearly that person was just being mean...so calling the gals who make us money mean names seems, well, mean.

i can take the terminology joe, you're not getting my point. i OWN movies that have these words in them. i watch those movies. i get off to them. i've used the words in marketing and promotions within this industry. i wouldn't, however, refer to the women who i pay to provide me with content by having sex on camera, as whores. i might name the SITE "CumGuzzlingWhoreSlutBitches.Com" because i knew it'd sell to my current members/affiliates - but that's the fantasy i'm giving them. the reality of the woman doing the job is that she's still a woman.
