"The lock was off and the body was lying in a position it should not be in," said an unnamed police officer to Expressen. "We suspect that the guard has assaulted the dead woman."

The man is being held for breaking burial laws and could face to up to two years in jail.

I don't see why it really should be that big of a crime. Sure it's disgusting but the dead ain't complaining. Also corpses don't scream "no, please stop!" so it's all good.

That stuff is more common than appears to be known.

Know of one church (which was normally left unlocked) where they had to lock the doors because of problems like this.

Never actually caught anyone, but it's fairly certain there was more than one person involved (on differing occasions). The families were not told of these incidents.
