Not defending anybody but a lot of labels are thrown around here like kidnapping vs. taking prisoners of war - what is the difference in wartime?

A central grievance of these organizations is the need to exchange prisoners of war to attain peace. The Palestinians and pro Jihad Islamists will keep taking political prisonors like this until some of the 9000 + prisoners of war kept by Isreal are exchanged or even addressed publically.

They want to make an equitable exchange since the value of human life should be considered equal regardless of race or religion. Again I don't defend them or either side for that matter. But from a humanitarian standpoint both sides are taking prisoners and one of the sides is hiding it and not allowing mass media to broadcast the facts.

Not sure it's even a matter of "prisoner exchange" Julian. Chances are they will be dumped somewhere unharmed and told to piss off.

There have been a number of incidents like this over a few years and Hezbollah has released all without problems and within a relatively short time - they are not Al-Queda

Coulter and O'Reilly aren't journalists though. This guy is. He used to work for NBC before coming to Fox. He's a guy out there doing a job for a living. He isn't spitting propoganda, he's being told to go to a place and cover the story.

I too think Coulter and such are bad people. I think they are hate mongerers. But I'm not going to group them in with actual journalists who are doing a job to pay their bills. I'm also not going to say someone else deserves to die more because they have a different opinion than me.

However Guatanamo is not a war zone and never has been - Gaza is.

At this time people on the ground have FAR more to consider than a couple of members of a news crew who are well-known to be conservative with the truth - it's not in the interests of Lebanon to have them there, and, if their luck is in, they will be kicked out fairly soon.
