Etelegate (IBill's proxy billing company) !!

So with IBill having done a crash and burn, they transferred all of their
billing clients without choice to a company called Etelegate.

We started receiving "compliance" emails from etelegate informing us that until we gave them all the required documents for setting up an account with them... (business information, owner information, estimated billing amounts, etc) AND set up the button coding for our sites to process new Etelegate signups, they were going to withhold any and all payments to us.

We called them, we gave them the "required" documents for setting up a new account with them, and then we waited. Our funds were still not released. We called them again and were told that because we had not integrated the buttons on our site to start accepting customers, that we were not completely setup with them and they were not releasing funds until we were. We advised them that we had no plans to process any new customers with any company that has, or had anything to do with IBill.
We were advised that they would "get back to us". They advised us to keep calling back to get a "status". We called several times and finally we were told that since a number of webmasters from IBill had told them the same thing, they were going to have to draft another "rebilling only" contract and that once that was ready they would inform us. And they were not going to release our funds until that contract was signed. We were instructed to call back in 48 hours. We called back in 48 hours and were told to call back this week. We called back this week to be told that the document had been prepared, but the legal department would not release it until they approved it. When asked when it would be approved, we were told that there was no time frame, that it would be approved when it is approved and that Etelegate would send out a notice to webmasters when it was approved.

Are they going to release our funds? NO, not until this, yet another, contract is signed and delivered to them, and then not until their next scheduled payment period.

When will that be? Seems to be anyone's guess at this point.

How is any of this legal? I believe that if they were dealing with business people other then pornographers that this would be handled differently.

tombarr ... why don't you dump all that shit on the FBI and let them handle it? All of this issue is a criminal matter - no doubts on that.

It's amazing webmasters still owed money and in the US have not already acted on this years ago.

Hear ya... the adult biz is no different to any other and all this reluctance to act is beyond a joke. If I was still owed money - they'd have at least three angles hitting at them - one criminal, the other civil and action on a personal basis against the company officers. Last idiot that trying scamming is now sitting in a jail cell for 12 years - it makes no difference whether it's "adult" or not.

I can't beleive these threads are still popping up and these guys at Etelegate aren't in jail.

How can these guys not be in jail by now?? Where are all the surfers being rebilled going to use their membership at? Why haven't they all charged back 100x over?? How can Visa allow this?

and thinking about it, if the shit ever hits the fan and gets out to the media, they are just gonna say "porn companies were behind the scam to bill members for services they didn't sign up for" and will be yet another billing black eye for our industry.

If etelgate does get into it with a governement agency, how much you wanna bet they will just say "we were just processing for our clients, talk to them if there were any problems".

My partner sued them in small claims court for the 3K they owe him (I know that is chump change compared to what others are owed). They did in fact send a representative to court, they lost the case, but at the end of the day they are still not going to pay up.

Got exactly the same situation here, Etelegate keeps rebilling a handful of ex-Ibill customers, keeping moneys because we have no intention to put their button on the sites.
AND, there is no way to cancel rebills in Etelegate?s cheesy admin, Ibill says they know nothing, it is Etelegate?s business now.

It's called Extortion, a mild form of monetary Rape!!!

It would sure be nice to see some big players that are owed allot of money, get together, go after them and sue their fucking asses off.
I would not sign anything nor would I activate any buttons for sales. This sounds like the same crap those thieves from IBill were pulling.

yes, you guys can sue all day and win 100x, the problem is they aren't paying anyone a dime to settle the suits, they have a "go ahead and sue us and try and collect motherfuckers" attitude.

the only way to stop em is for criminal charges to be filed against them, and it kills me that the FBI is willing to create teams to go look at 2257 docs, but won't bother with etelgate running people's cards.

how'd you do that, from what I read you can't cancel their account, etelgate just keeps rebilling em anyways.

You have to ban the Iballs members from your site by removing them from your HT access file. But first remove the IBILL script from your servers so they cannot update membership info. Then let them sort out all the charge backs. Fucking ass-------suckers

I am surprised you got the asswipes on the phone, everytime they send me one of those emails I reply back to close my fucking account.

I removed all the passes long ago, people who wrote asking why they could not get in I told them the deal.... the last email I got from the new ibill I tried to call and only got an answering machine. Same as if I had called ibill....

eventually they will get busted... I did notice they did not honor their notes.

We didn't get our Aug 1 wire from them...If it doesn't show we will purge our members lists I suppose.

They managed to take the five figures of our rebills they inhereted from Gkard and nickle and dime it down to about $90 so it's just not worth the stress any more.

It is my understanding that if a company has 5-judgements or more with no reselution that they can be FORCED into bankruptcy.
The five or more companys simply need to bond together.

I've posted here about my actions on this also. (Just do a simple search of my name) I have sent etelegate an official notice to shut down the any accounts processing for me which of course puts all funds they have gathered into a 6 month waiting period for payout. I need to go backand check that they have infact closes the account. Unfortunatly, my main computers/netaccess are down till tuesday and I'm running off evdo on my cell at the moment, and all my contact info is on the other computers. (Yes I could get it, but fuck it, i'll wait) I'm not going to loose any any more sleep over any of this. I have over 13k currently involved in this mess at this point. I'll end up writing it off as a business loss.

Interesting Axzar... Don't matter if it's $3 or $3 mill - the same principle/judgement applies.

Dunno where you are, but is it a matter of enforcing judgement and having assets removed to cover your debt plus costs?

Can think of a nice gun-totting lawyer/law enforcement experienced person who is more than able to swoop in with a crew and start moving the furniture out
