wow this could either be huge, or end up not a big deal. I am having a hard time picking a side, because not all of the facts are out there yet.

We were extremely disappointed with CCBill's mischaracterization of the facts and attempt to disparage Paycom's stellar reputation. There has been no corporate raiding. Paycom merely accomodated the requests of 2 employees looking to make a lifestyle change.

While their former employer tried to shackle them with onerous covenants not to compete legal counsel has determined that they are clearly unenforceable both in California and Arizona as the legal proceedings will confirm. Paycom has no interest in, or need for, any trade secrets. Paycom already knows all the players in the industry and our innovative technology such as the launch of our venture with MPA3 has no use for anything that CCBill has to offer. In compliance with applicable law, Paycom believes that every employee has a right to work wherever they want and when approached by talent such as Patrick Curran and David Salonic we are not willing to let draconian restraints on a person's right to work get in our way.

We believe that the best way to keep an employee is to have a great atmosphere, great product and a great company. We frankly cannot understand what it is that CCBill is really afraid of? Competition?

you almost sound like a lawyer

too bad this whole thing is only going to make a few lawyers more wealthy and waste a lot of time of the good minds in both companies - it would be nice if all of this energy on both sides went to better ratios, features and developing more solid and innovative solutions for the upcoming years ahead of everyone

With all due respect Rand, I would bet that Epoch would react similarly if two of its senior managers left abruptly for CCBill.

Epoch and CCBill are both great companies. Both companies would be attractive places to work. If Epoch doesn't need Patrick's inside knowledge of CCBill and its operations, then why didn't Epoch choose the high ground and avoid hiring from your biggest competitor? Isn't that the ethical thing to do?

Surely you knew this would start a battle between companies. You must get dozens of qualified resumes weekly. So, in your own words, WHAT ARE YOU REALLY AFRAID OF?

So is this the official "ok" for Epochs employees to seek employment at CCBill without fear of legal repercussions? Epoch won't try to enforce any non-compete contracts or restrictions? IMO, this is an ugly can of worms that you are opening here.

Well, their non-compete contracts are probably different. It's lawyers opinions and such.

As an affiliate who likes both parties, get it settled folks. Thanks

The stability of our industry is at stake here and terms like "corporate raid" are hinting at things that we don't know are going on behind the scenes.

As far as processing we mainly have Epoch, CCBill and Verotel. Is there really so little money to go around that things have to go this route?

I can't help but to think that greed & power is involved here where it clearly isn't necessary.

We are a small industry and we all know that not playing well with others can ruin a companies reputation.

lol.. ofcourse you know who the players are, i think everyone knows this. I was trying to set up Epoch and you had the guts to tell me at Internext in Las Vegas that if I didnt process 50K per month through you (you have no clue what I own and process) , you had no time to talk to me.. No wonder you need the pro's from CC bill to get shit done.. I am still waiting for my email that was promissed the last time I mentioned this in a thread.

Not to mention your rep jerked me around for 3 days and have me come back to your booth at least 8 times. It really left me with a bad taste in my mouth after this BS. Plus after seeing me 8 times the dude still couldn't say my name correctly even though he could have just taken it from my badge..

Can you tell I am frustrated with you and your "Family".. ?

You may have just set a disastrous precedence for your employees, don't they read this board?

Rand, you should consider working for CCBill, I bet they would take good care of you.
